"For the last time, tell me what your connection to Garth is!" Helen shouted, quickly grabbing the attention of any one inside the room.
Helen had been questioning the amazonian which had chased Garth (see chapter 2) through the village she had been stationed at, mostly to keep order (or what little order could be maintained in a monster village).
"I've told you, he belongs to the Sebi tribe and its my task to bring him back" the amazonian replied snappily, which didn't please Helen.
"How could someone so free and happy... belong to a bunch of muscle headed pigs?" Elena said with a grin, which angered the amazonian greatly, who glared at Elena.
"Because, he was born in our village" the amazonian shouted.
For a moment, the room became deathly silent, before Elena burst out laughing, while Helen raised her eyebrow.
"Hahah... really... thats the best you could come up with?" Elena said, as she held her stomuch, trying to control her laughter.
The amazonian looked down at the floor, before opening her mouth.
"And... hes my brother" the amazonian said in a low voice.
Elena's jaw dropped, while Helen was taken back by the news, though she composed her self quickly, bringing her face close to the amazonian's.
"You will not leave this room until you tell me everything" Helen stated in a icy cold tone, her eyes focusing fully on the amazonian's, who was looking back at Helen.
While the part about him being born in a monster village was debateable, it was a real possibility that they shared the same birth parents, which meant she may have knowledge about any weaknesses he may have, along with any habits that could be exploited, it was a rare oppotunity to get such information on a S ranked bounty.
It would take some time for Elena to recover from this shocking statement.
Voice
Garth stood at the entrance to the room, his breath heavy, his heart racing, his eyes focused on the woman that had risen from the sarcophagus.
The woman looked at Jill and her companions, who were slowly backing away from the woman, who took a moment to run her eyes up and down the 3, before smiling.
"There's no need to be alarmed, for i am a humble lord and i treat all my subjects with dignity" the women said, the words echoing inside the heads of the 3.
Garth was further back and thus, to him it was barly audible, but even so, the words made him tremble, he sensed power in her words, but had no knowledge of the power her voice pocessed.
He was about to find out.
Jill, with her hands shaking, held out her sword, pointing it at the woman.
"Servants... what ser... servants, there's no body here but us, and theres no way in he... " Jill began to speak, but stopped the moment the woman spoke.
"Kneel" the woman commanded, her voice echoing through the room, as it did, Jill and her companions found them selves kneeing almost immediatly, their're bodies responding to the woman command, despite their're minds refusal.
Garth was in shock, not because Jill and the others were kneeing, no, he was shocked due to the fact that the moment he heard her speak, his body had followed the command, before he had even realised what had happened.
"Fuck... fuck fuck fuck fuck" Garth repeated in his mind, this wasn't simply bad, this was a catastrophic encounter, a being, that is able to command a person, against their will, to follow her commands, he had never encountered this and he sure as hell had no plans to stick around long enough to find out what she may want him to do.
The woman smiled as she walked down the platform, approaching Jill and her group, who couldn't stand up, no matter how much they willed their bodies to do so.
The woman only stopped when she saw Garth at the entrance, who met her gaze, before turning around and running off, down the darkened halls, as he ran, drops of blood appeared on the floor.
She smiled, as she walked up to Jill and ran her hands through Jills hair, who felt a strange sort of extacy as she did.
"He's an interesting one, don't you think?" the woman said as she brought Jills face close to hers, kissing her on the forehead.
Patch work
Garth staggered through the hall ways, holding his side as he did.
"May of overdone it, but all things considered, i'm alive and i got away" Garth though to him self as he continued to move through the darkened all ways, relying on his sence of touch and hearing rather then his sight, which wouldn't do him much good anyway in this darkness.
Garth eventually came to a room, quickly looking around to ensure he was alone before leaning against one of the walls.
"i better patch me self up, won't get far if there's no blood left in my body" he though to him self as he used his dagger to cut his sleeve, before putting it against the wound.
As the blood began to soak the cloth materail, he inhaled deeply, closing his eyes.
After a few seconds, his hand started to glow, shortly followed by flame erupting from his hand.
Garth clentched his teeth, making sure not to scream or shout, as the fire continued to burn.
Soon, the fire died down, with Garth dropping to the floor, panting heavily, sweat dripping off his face.
He remained there for a bit, before getting up, his legs shaking, his body weak.
"Can't... stop... have to... move" he mumbled to him self as he looked at the wound he had inflicted on himself earlier.
It was an emergency measure, but it was better then bleeding out or risking infection, that and he had no talent what so ever in healing magic, despite the amount of time and effort he had put into learning, so he had learnt to use alternative ways to patch him self up.
As he began to move, he saw a dim light coming from one of the entrances, slowly getting brighter as time went, which prompted Garth to move, albeit slow, towards another entrance.
A short while after he left, 2 Khepri entered the room, one of them holding a torch.
"The blood trail stops here, he must of stopped the bleeding" one of the said.
"Yes but i doubt hes gotten far, not with the amount of blood we found on the way here, its more impressive that he was able to even run away from her highness" said the other one, before being joined by a 3rd monster.
"Impressive or not, her highness has commanded us to find and capture him and i do not want to disappoint her" the 3rd one said, as she clutched her golden staff, large black paws wrapping around it.
Struggle
Garth continue to move down the hallway, occasionally leaning agaisnt the walls, he was in a bad state, significant blood loss, dehydration, lack of sleep and hunger, it was incredible that he could even move at this point.
"Must... move... can't... rest" these words kept echoing in his head, urging him to move forward, despite how much his body wanted him to rest.
After a while, he came to another room, which seemed to be a sort of archive, various stone shelves holding dusty scrolls.
Garth staggered over to one of the selves... taking one of the scrolls from the shelves and opening it.
Inside, he found symbols and pictures, simular to the ones he had found earlier, which seemed to depict a tomb, with a woman rising out of it, clutching her staff, her mouth open, as people kneeled before her.
"This... this must be... " Garth was interrupted in his thoughs by the entrance of 3 monsters, 2 khepri and 1 wolf like girl, an anubus, species he had never encountered before.
Garth looked at them, panting heavily, as one of the kehpri began to speak.
"We found him, yes, our highness will be pleased" she said estatically, before charging right at Garth.
Garth was barly able to dodge her charge as he moved right, causing her to hit the wall behind Garth.
"Owwwie" she said as she rubbed her head, while the anubus just shook her head.
"You need to learn patiance" the anubus said, before she went to look at Garth
The anubus was shocked when she found Garth charging towards her, daggers drawn.
The anubus started to chant, causing magical runes to appear on the floor where Garth was, but before she could finish casting, she and the khepri were blinded by a flash of light from Garths daggers.
When she and the khepri recovered from the blindness, he was gone, footprints leading down one of the exits from the archive.
"Clever, but he only delays the inevitable" she said as she and the khepri followed the footprints, determined to furfill the wishes of their master.
Collapse
Garth staggered down another hallway, even worse then before, his little trick had bought him time, but at a great cost, the wound he had sealed was seeping, blood running down his side and he hadn't the strength to cast another fire spell to seal it up again, instead using his hand to apply pressure to the wound and halt the flow of blood.
As he continued to move, he felt light headed, his vision blurred, his legs sluggish.
"Move... move" his mind kept repeating these words, which kept him moving.
"Stop right there" a voice behind him drew his attention, it was one of the khepri, the one that hadn't charged him earlier.
Garth stared at her, his body swaying, as he started to move towards the khepri, who took a fighting stance, unsure of what he would do this time.
As soon as he got within arms reach of her, he stopped, his eyes glaring at her, before he fell forward, the khepri catching him as he did.
For a moment, the khepri was excited at this turn of events, before seeing blood drip down his side.
"... no... no... you can't die here, her highness must meet you" she shouted as she grabbed him with both arms, lifting him and running down the hallway, intent on getting him healed.
Out of the frying pan, and into the volcanoe
Garth opened his eyes, at first having difficulty focusing due to the bright light and the significant headache he was currently plagued with.
"ahhhh... it feels like i've got a hangover without the prevouis night of drinking, what the hell happened" he muttered to him self as he tried to remember what had happened before blacking out, holding his head as it throbbed in agony, the brightly light room not helping in any way.
"zzzzzzzzzzzzz"
Garth froze, his eyes fully focused now, he could see that he was in a room, the design akin to nobility, but that wasn't what drew his attention.
He could feel that he was sitting on something soft and as he continued to feel around, he soon touched something...warm.....soft.....alive.
"... ah... ahha... don't tell me" Garth mumbled to him self as he slowly turned around, his fears being confirmed as sweat started pouring off him.
Right next to him, a woman slept... the same women that had brought down jills group with a single command, she seemed, very happy, smiling as she continued to sleep, which was in contrast to Garths face, which looked like he'd stared death in the face.
A summoned entity?
Garth took a moment to process everything... where he was... what had possibly happened... and how he could escape.
"Okay... lets take this slow" Garth though to him self as he ever so gently dismounted from the bed.
"It feels a bit breezy... what the fuu" Garth looked down to find him self almost bare... baring a few straps made out of a cloth like materail, though, he didn't recognise what it was made from.
"I'm surprised i'm still a virgin... at least... i think i am" Garth check him self... trying to some how verify that his virginity was where it belonged.
"Your still a virgin" a voice behind Garth caused him to turn around, though he was relieved when he saw the source of the voice, the dark
"Nice timing, could of bailed me out earlier" Garth said to the dark figure, which had manifested infront of him.
"Now you know i can't help you when your in a weakened state, lest you forget what happen the last time you summoned me in the middle of a area filled with demonic energy" the figure replied... prompting Garth to cover his right eye.
The dark figure sighed, before continuing.
"So long as i'm with you, i can absorb some of the demonic energy around you, but thats only if i'm in an energy based form, the moment i become coporeal, i can no longer absorb any ambiant energy around you, and i'm sure you know by now what happens if you, a human, is unprotected in an area filled with the stuff" the dark figure stated.
Garth closed his eyes, how could he not know, not after all the travelling he had done, the places he had visit, it was the same everywhere, to much demonic energy would cause humans to become weak, while making their bodies heat up, making them easy prey for any passing monster, for women, they would turn into monsters them selves, for men, they would become incubuses, beings filled with demonic energy, their minds and bodies bound to a single lover (in most cases).
Garth didn't want that, he didn't want to give up his humanity, not because he enjoyed being human (though that was part of it), no, so long as he remained human, it showed his defiance to the one he hated most.
"If only i could of summoned a better servant" Garth joked, trying to forget the situation he was in right now.
"Well we can argue later on that matter, first, we need to get you out of here, good thing that i mapped the place while you were out cold" the dark figure said, before creating a 3d map of the area in front of garth.
The plan
"Please tell me you got something wrong here" Garth asked the dark figure, in a rather disparing voice.
"Well, i only mapped around 55% i believe" the dark figure replied in a rather serouis tone, which drained the colour out of Garths face.
"But... this... how... huge"
Garth couldn't quite comprehend the size of tower, which from the map, seemed to be an extensive network of hallways and rooms, many interconnected.
However, the main problem for Garth was the hallways leading out of the tower, 4 of them to be precise, 3 being preceeded by multiple rooms, most likely placed to prevent any one getting in or out.
"This hallway here seems to be your best bet, though that also presents a problem, since its joined with the largest room in this place and theres several rooms preceeding it" the dark figure continued as he pointed at a hallway on the map, casuing it to flash blue, along with a predicted path from where they were currently located.
Garth took a moment to take this all in, the enormity of the task, the likely chance it would fail and he would be horribly raped and the fact that the dark figure didn't really seem that motivated to actually help him.
"I say, crawl back into the be... " the dark figure stopped talking when he saw the expression on Garth's face, it wasn't pleasent one.
"Fine, but that still leaves a key problem, your gear, its located near by, but its guarded by a sort of cat, though, its unlike any monster we've seen" the dark figure stated, promptinga nod from Garth, though he continued shortly afterwards.
"I also believe she was formally that woman we met earlier, Jill"
Garth closed his eyes, taking a moment to breath, hoping that he wouldn't be forced to fight them, before moving to the rooms exit, intent on escaping from this tomb.
Gear
Garth crept along the hallways, making sure to be silent in his movement, as the dark figure guided him to his gear.
"I though they'd be more guards" Garth muttered.
"To easy for you?" the dark figure said while he absorbed some of the ambeinet demonic energy
"I perfer it this way, especially when i'm wearing... this" Garth replied, uncomfortable with his current attire.
After a while, they came to a large a large room, which held varouis items, staffs, clothing... and Garths gear.
Garth peeked into the room, checking to ensure no one was there.
"I though you said it was guarded?" Garth said with a cheeky tone to the dark figure.
"Past tense, she must of left, after all, if she's like other monsters, she's probally riding one of her 2 companions right now, which is good for us" the dark figure replied.
Garth looked around again just to be sure, before moving into the room, heading right for his gear and quickly changing bakc to his old attire.
"Ah... it feels good to be back in my old clothing" Garth muttered to him self.
"To bad that you won't be in it for long"
Garth spun around to find someone at the door way.
"Guess her play time ended" the dark figured commented, which caused Garth to glare at him, much to the bewilderment of the person, or rather, monster at the entrance to the room.
Riddle
Walking into the room, the monsters tanned skin glistened with sweat from the heat, but looked pure like she walked fresh from a shower, her long sandy gold hair had streak of sand brown in them, matching the color of the fur on her paws, which ran up from her feet to her knees and from her hands to her elbows.
A curly bang fell over her right eye as she looked at Garth, who stared back at her, noticing that her eyes were unique, the top half was a teal color, while the lower half a deep blue. Her butt was wide and round, bouncing as she walked.
She soon came to a stop, standing in the way of the exit, as she crossed her arms, her double Ds jiggling as she did, while her tail wrapped around her waist, which drew Garths attention to her thighs, which were tight and round, almost lickable.
"Jill?" Garth said, clutching his dagger, as he took a defensive stance.
"Ahhh, you remembered" she said happily, swaying her hips, as her tail waved about, her new, monsterous form making it difficult for Garth to peel his eyes away, as he tried to think of a way to get out the room without potencailly being mounted by her.
"Well, do you think you could just, let me walk out of here?" Garth asked, hoping that she was the type of monster that was uninterested in capturing men if she'd already been taken, provided she had been taken already.
"Sure" Jill responded, which surprised Garth, considering how easy it had been to get to this room and retreive his gear.
Garth was about to move when he noticed Jill grinning.
"If you can solve a little riddle" Jill said, licking her lips and rubbing her paws together, which caused Garth to shiver.
Garth took a moment to consider her offer, would she really let him go that easily and more importantly, what would happen if he didn't answer her riddle correctly.
"Fine, whats the riddle?" Garth replied, he needed to conserve energy at this point, incase he encountered any other monsters down the line, especailly since he had very few devil gems or other equipment on hand at the moment and wasting spiritual energy in a place filled with demonic energy, even with the dark figure around to absorb some of it, was a sure way to end up being captured by a wondering monster.
Jill smiled as she opened her mouth.
What runs but has no feet?
A mouth but does not speak?
And a bed but does not sleep?
Victory?
Garth though for a moment, greatly motivated by the prospect of being allowed to simply leave without a fight.
"hmmm... runs... but no feet... and as a bed... hmmmm" Garth mumbled to him self, wiping the sweat off his brow, it was quite toasty in this place,
"Sweat... fluid... water... wait, rivers have a bed and have no feet"
Garth stared at Jill with a confident smile.
"A river" Garth shouted confidently, which caused Jill to growl at him.
"So i am right... whoopie" Garth shouted happily as he did a little dance, he could get quite excited at even the smallest of things.
"So as per our bargain, your'll let me pas...." Garth stopped in mid sentence, as he stared at Jill, who was looking at him, squirming uncomfortably.
Suddenly, Jills eyes focused on Garth, her eyes narrowing, as she got into an attack stance.
"... I should of known this would happen, its just like the time i tried to bargain with that manticore" Garth muttered to him self, shivering when the word manticore left his mouth.
How ever he didn't have time to think about past experiances as Jill quickly charged towards him, pouncing when she got close in an attempt to pin him down.
"Why can't i get a break" Garth shouted as he ducked under Jill, avoiding her attempt to pounce on him, as he quickly ran out the room, with her turning around and following in pursuit, her eyes full of lust.
Right into the jaws of the devil
Garth was sprinting through the hall ways, taking the path that had been surgested by the dark figure.
"Thats the last time i trust what a monster says" Garth shouted to him self as he sprinted down the halls, with Jill in close pursuit.
"I remember you saying that a few weeks back when we dealt with that devil, oh and lets not forget about that one time when yo..." the dark figure was interrupted when Garth was forced to dodge around a khepri, who was taken by surpise by the usdden apperance of Garth, only to be shoved out the way by Jill as she ran past.
"Not helping" Garth shouted to the dark figure, who just happily floated next to Garth, making sure to point in the direction he was meant to go.
Every room Garth ran through, he picked up more pursuers, all bent on catching him.
He also noticed that the walls were getting cleaner and cleaner as he neared his destination, until finally, he ran into a large open room, the walls a glistening marble, large banners adorning the pillars of the room.
At the center, stood a throne, made out of a mix of marble and gold, jewels adorning the side, as a person sat on the throne, smiling, as she looked at Garth.
"Welcome back, Garth" she said as she sat there, resting her head on her hand.
"Oh bolocks" Garth said, as his pursers caught up with him and tackled him to the ground.
Divine presence
Garth was picked up off the floor by some of his pursers after being tackled to the ground, holding him up as the woman on the throne motioned them over with her finger, casuing them to drag Garth over, who was trying to struggle out their grip, as the dark figure hovered beside them, Garth being the only one able to see him as the figure smiled, though Garth had to focus on finding a way out of this situation.
Garth was thrown on the floor when they got to the throne, with the lady sitting on it smiling as she looked at him.
"It was rude of you to leave our bedroom while i was sleeping" she said as she continued to look at Garth, who was staring at her now, currently with a look of sheer terror on his face.
As Garth stared at her, thougsh poped into his head, about how elegant she looked, how her mere presence seemed to carry immense weight, how he simply wanted her to command him.
That last though snapped him back to reality, to how dangerous the current situation was.
"I don't know who you are, but this is not my home and i have no inten... "
"Silence" the woman on the throne said, causing Garth to stop speaking in mid sentence, confirming his fears.
Her voice, had some form of powerful magic weaved into it, no, not just her voice, her entire being, seemed to be... divine, like a god had come down to the realm of mortals to walk amoung them. "You seemed confused, young one" she said as she brough her hand to Garths chin, her fingers brushing agaisnt it, as she made sure Garths focus was fully on her.
"Though that is the power of the pharoahs, the power that belongs to me, Verna Hildagrand" she stated as she started to bring her face closer to Garth's, who seemed entranced, unable to move or think.
Intervention
Garth sat there, staring at the pharoah, as she started to move her face closer to his, her lips so inviting to the young explorer.
That said, in the back of his mind, there was still a small hint of resistance, enough to mutter out a single word as she drew closer.
"Help"
In an instant, the pharoah found a shadowy dagger at her throat, as she sensed a presence, one that she hadn't sensed before.
Both her and her servants were shocked at the sudden appreance of this strange entity, cloaked in shadows, who was behind the pharoah, his dagger pressing into her neck.
"I surgest you don't try and open that mouth of yours" the dark figure stated as he waved his free hand, energy forming around it, before it flew at Garth, hitting and shocking him.
Garth shook for a few moments ont eh floor, before getting up.
"You took your time intervening" Garth said to the dark figure, who smiled.
"You simply didn't ask until it was nearly to late, thats all" he replied, causing Garth to glare at him.
As they argued, Khepri guards entered the room, all armed with spears, intent on protecting their pharoah, though that wans't the biggest issue.
With the dark figure becoming coporeal, Garth was not unprotected form the vast levels of demonic energy being emitted from the pharoah, which began to make him feel... weak.
"Shit... i ha... have to get out of... of here" Garth muttered to him self, his though patterns being scewed with thoughs... lewd thoughs... after all, while he may of been resistant to some level of demonic energy, the amount that a being such as a pharoah could produce, far exceeded what he could naturally resist.
While the dark figure held the pharoah hostage, making sure that both she and the khepri couldn't act, Garth started to stagger out the room, towards a bright light, which was shining through what seemed to be a large hole in the room.
"Let go of me, i command you" Verna shouted angrily, though this was in vane.
"I'm sorry, but i'm not something that can be commanded by you or any one, baring Garth" the dark figure replied, which shocked Verna.
Something, that even she could not command... impossible, it just couldnt' be, her mind refused to believe it.
And yet, the reality was quite different, to the point it was pressing up against her neck.
At this point the dark figure would let go of her and become incoporeal again, but without him holding verna hostage, the khepri and other residents of the room would swarm on Garth and he wasn't in a state to defend him self, not against such numbers.
However, if he stayed to long, Garth would succumb rapidly to the large level of demonic energy in the area and once that happened, the dark figure would be unable to do anything, since Garth would be uninterested in commanding the dark figure to help him, not when all that demonic energy has corrupted his mind, making him desire nothing but to give his body to the nearest monster.
The dark figure had to hold Verna long enough for Garth to get a resonable distance away before returning to him and helping syphon some of the demonic energy away from Garth.
A land reborn
Garth stumbled out into the light, his eyes having to adjust to the brighter light of the outside room compared to the more dimly lit hallways and rooms he had been in.
What met his gaze when his eyes adjusted was something which took his breath away.
He was standing on a balcony, the floor made of a light marble, though it was the view of the outside world which made Garth breathless.
As he stood at the edge of the balcony, all around, he could see the land had changed massivly since he last saw it, in place of curmbling ruins, buildings, whose smooth stone walls, looked like they had been freshly cut and put into place. Smooth stone paths lead from building to building, while trees swayed in the wind, whose branches bore fruit, which looked ripe and ready to be picked and eaten.
As Garth continue to look around, he saw many of the paths leading to a central area, just below the balcony.
At this center, a large fountain, with fresh water pouring out of the stone figures, each of them carved in the form of a woman with bountiful features. No matter where Garth looked, he couldn't see a single ruin, not one trace of evidence to surgest that this place once was a ruined anceint city, an ageless relic lost to the sands.
"What the...fuck... is going on" Garth muttered out, his mind becoming more and more effected by the demonic energy in the air.
"Wonderful isn't it, my kingdom"
Garth spun around, his eyes meeting the eyes of Verna, who was standing on the balcony, behind her, Jill, the Anubus that had attacked him earlier and several Kherpi guards, all of them staring at Garth.
Desperate mistake
Garth stared at Verna, his vision hazy, his mind wandering, as she continued to smile.
"You seem a little confused, to be expected, but worry not, as a member of my kingdom, it is my royal duty to guide all members of my kingdom and i'll make sure to guide you personally" Verna said as she licked her lips, which caused Garth to shiver and start to step back.
He was soon pressing up against the wall of the balcony, which reached up just above his knees, which prevented him from tumbling over the edge, which was quite a steep drop, with nothing to break the fall baring a stone path at the bottom, which is not a great cushioning material, especailly after falling a 100 meters or so.
It also didn't help that Garth was ina bad state, demonic energy was saturating his body, his thoughs becoming more lwd by the second, add that to the meal in front of his eyes, a feast of sexiness, it simply wouldn't be surprising if the average man just dived right for her.
However, a few stray thoughs in Garths mind kept him from stepping over the edge, a critical one being... where the dark figure had gone.
The dark figure had been holding off Verna, but after mere moments of stepping onto the balcony, she had joined him and Garth couldn't sense the dark figure nearby, which began to worry him. Garth how ever had to shake that though from his mind and focus on the big one, how he would get out of this situation.
He couldn't teleport, due to having to expend more and more of his own energy to try and resist the demonic energy flooding his body and he had no devil gems prepared to get out.
Suddenly, has Verna ordered the guards to go for him, he remembered he had one last devil gem, a gem which could turn the tide... or kill him.
Has the guards began to advance, Verna happy that her commands were being followed, Garth pulled out a devil gem with 4 different colored pieces.
Has the gem began to glow, Garth threw it onto the ground, with Verna looking atthe gem and quickly ordering her guards to fall back.
She could see the danger, the energy swirling inside the gem has it began to glow, before a strange force of energy started pulling her and her guards closer to the gem, though they quickly got behind the walls that seperated the throne room and the balcony.
Garth had used what little energy he had left to create a repulsive force to stop him being effected by the gravity pull.
Unfortunatly, Garth couldn't create a proper shield by the time the spell went into its second phase, wind, bits of stone and sand gathering round the gem.
Garth at this point was panting, his vision getting blurry, has he tried his best to focus on putting up a stronger shield to protect from the final phase of the gems casting sequence.
It soon came, a sudden flash of light, has fire erupted form the gem, igniting the wind, which created a powerful explosion, one that shattered Garths shield and catapulted him off the balcony.
Graceless goodbye
As Garth was catapulted off the balcony, the balcony being blown to bits as bits of stone hit him and smattered the building he once stood in.
He could see the large structure he once set foot in, the walls which could only of been crafted by some of the finest artisans that lived, or may of lived at the time of its creation.
He looked back up towards where he once stood, seeing the hole he had walked out from, Verna and the others looking at him, their lips moving, as time seemed to slow for Garth.
He no longer had the strength to do anything as he slowly plummeted towards the ground, the force of the blast had catapulted him towards the sand laden areas of this now glittering paradise amoung the desert.
It wouldn't matter though, the impact woudl kill him, he would die and he couldn't do anything about it.
He though on this and several other things, as he closed his eyes, a tear running out of his eye, as he continued to fall.
"What a graceless way to go" Garth though as he got closer to his inevitable death, the sand beneath him shifting slightly, as he was mere seconds away from hitting it.
Gathering tempest
A few minutes away from a large city in the desert, a lone warrior, wearing a large cloak with the symbol of the order stitched into the fabric, looked at the corpse of a sandworm, her sword dripping with blood, as her blue eyes looked at the creature.
"Monsters, they deserve nothing more then to be purged" she muttered as she walked towards the city, soon joined by several soldiers, each with the symbol of the order on their armor.
"Amazing, you killed that monster all by your self" one of the soldiers said, still in disbelief over the feat the warrior had accomplished.
The warrior looked up, her blond hair fluttering in the wind as she smiled.
"Soon, i will find you" she muttered to her self as she continued to walk, cleaning the blood off her sword while she walked.

Well i FINALLY finished this chapter, it took much longer then i though it would, mostly cos of my habiot of not being able to focus on one thing at a time and getting distracted by other stuff and not being sur eif i like something or not... ANYWAY, with this one done, i can say that volume one is now complete, it also lets me focus on finishing off the warrior and the madmen, which has been lingering for a good month now and i need a good dose of crazy to reset the status qou.
After that, there's something else i will be doing, before returning to strange world, since some one needs to go get his staff back.
I also need to go through my work again and clean up glaring errors.
Lots to do, inbetween worksies and gaming and bits of unity and driving theory.
Fun never stops.
Laterz.
