The brightness fades and I can see once again. I am no longer in the forest but a new land. Its now twilight. I cant really tell if its dawn or dusk. There is a feeling of happiness starting to run through my body. I check myself and its some kind of magic tiring to invade my body. I begin to transmute the feel good energy into magic I can use and turn the excess into a shield.
I must stay on constant alert here. I check my surroundings. There are many more fay here than what I had seen earlier. They where all dancing, singing, playing games, and doing things with men that I don't feel like describing at this moment. It seemed like everyone here was happy. Probably that magic I had to keep in check. Next I noticed a bunch of these puff ball things floating around. I could sense concentrations of that feel good magic in these things. Then I spotted some of those fluff balls, albeit larger, with little girls in them. This is the wierdiest place.
I realized my raven friend was no longer perched on my shoulder.
"Hey where did my friend go?" I asked out loud.
I see a beautiful full figured fay women standing next to me. She was about as tall as me and dressed in a long armed renaissance type dress. It was black with a purple and gold Celtic filigree. Her skin was pale and had no imperfections. She did not seem have a single blemish anywhere on her body that I could see. Her wings were not like that of the other fay. Hers were dark, feathered with iridescent hues of purple and red. Her hair was jet black long and strait in a sort of pushed back style. Her eyes were captivating. They were like glowing green orbs set in a sea of ink.
She looked so familiar. Thinking about it I should know her. Why would my mind just not pin a name to her. I suppose this this should not be a surprise I did not know what my name was.I noticed I had been staring at her for an inappropriate amount of time.
"My apologies. You are just so captivating."I said to her with a curt sweeping bow.
I kept my eyes glued to her tiring to see if there was a positive reaction. Her cheeks redden just slightly. She motioned for me to follow her but said nothing.
As I followed I noticed many odd buildings with whimsical color and architecture. These buildings ranged from small homes for fay to elaborate mansions that could house a hundred men. That is until we reached a castle. I could not believe what I was looking at. Its architecture defied reality, it couldn't possibly stand the way it was built, yet there it was. As if a child had dreamed it up and made it reality.
The beautiful fay was standing at the portcullis to this castle. I closed the distance to catch up to her. She waved her hand and the portcullis opened.
As I step through I feel as I have yet again stepped haphazardly into another realm. Is this the first time I have done this sort of thing? My mind is becoming hard to control here. My thoughts begin to wander and my begins to cloud over. I have to summon up all I have just to stay in control of myself here.
I see her waiting for me. I follow this time pulling my hood up to shut out the outside world. We walk down a winding stair case.I begin to lose track time. It feels like an eternity passed When we come to a door, I have no idea how long I have been following this women or how long that stair case was.I look behind me but the staircase is not there. My grip on reality seems to have been lost.
I turn around and my companion is gone. I open the door. Its a throne room. Up ahead I can see
Three thrones through my hood but not much else of the room. A word rings out.
"Kneel."
Its a woman's voice but its irresistible. I drop to my knees. There is something about her voice. I know her. I try to move but seem to have lost control of my body.Next I try to look at her but the image is all blurry. I use my aura sight. Either it doesn't work or I'm completely surrounded by her aura. I get a strong sense of foreboding. I hear the women speak in a resounding voice that fills the the chamber
"I am the Morrigan."
That one sentence shakes my very being and brings in a flood of memory. My mind was already reeling just from being here and now this. My head feels like its going to pop! I react on instinct again and thus begin to tap into my crown chakra. It relives much of the sensitivity I had and I begin to regain mental composure. I stay in meditation for a few more minutes to wrinkle out the flood of memory.
This time when I open my eyes I can see her clearly. I see a women laying in a sexy manner on a throne made of skulls. She looks very similar to the women who led me here but had fiery orange hair that fell loosely about her in ringlets. Also one eye glowed green and the other blue with a purple corona .
She stands up and begins to walk slowly toward me with a sway in her hips.
"Oh my goddess! She is so damn sexy! "I think to myself.
"My poor little worshiper has gone and sullied himself with that nasty demon lords energy." She says in a voice that sounds a little undermining
She is standing right in front of me now. She bends over to reach my eye level and damn that cleavage is so awesome.
I will fix that.
She smiles at me with a smile that would have made me shit myself if I had any control over my body what so ever right now.
She reaches out and touches my forehead with just the tip of her fingernail and lightest of touches. Pain! Immense, unmeasurable pain! Its feels like the energy in my body is being ripped out while shredding my muscles and breaking my bones. My whole world has become agony!.
Then just as suddenly as it began the pain stops. I breath in a ragged breath.
"There." she says casually as if nothing had just occured.
She stands back up straight and flicks her wrist slowly and deliberately like what she had just done was nothing and was flicking away some garbage. She turns to walk back to her throne.
I am so empty now. No, wait. I feel something different. I'm too tired from this to care much. She does not return to her throne. Instead she is now walking around me. I suppose sizing me up and deciding what to do with me.
"Do you know what I just did to you?" She asks
I am unable to answer She looks at me with a devilish grin.
"You may respond." She states with a tone of superiority.
I can hardly respond but I manage to in a weak raspy voice.
"No."
"You were corrupted by the demon lord, filled with her dark energy." She stated as if I should have known
My mind instantly shot to the darkness that consumed me when I traveled here.
"I have cleansed you of it." She said
I do feel different now but it's hard to say how.
"I am a little surprised you survived that. Your soul is quite durable." I was having a hard time telling if she was being genuine or mocking me.
She continues to walk around me.
"I could have use for you." she stated
She put a big emphasis on the could part.
"I am currently having a bit of trouble with some of the demon lords followers. If you where to take care of this nuisance for me I could reward you Somehow." She said
Again that emphasis. When she passes in front of me I notice she has a necklace on. Its a silver ravens claw holding a red orb about the size of a marble. She sees that I'm looking at her and followed my eyes to orb.
"Are you wondering what this little trinket is? She toys lovingly with the orb. Its the soul of a hero who failed me. You know his name." she says trailing off
"Cuchulain" I think to myself.
With my memory back I can now recall that what she is talking about. But it also pulls up a lot of blanks. She sees me thinking
"You may notice that some of your memories have faded completely. Don't worry they were not important. But what I am going to say now is. Do you wish to receive my blessing? you may speak." she says
I remain silent. I'm not sure what to think. I do worship her and she would be a great ally. The only thing is im not sure if this is trick or if she is going to kill me or what. I leave to my instincts, they have yet to fail me.
"Yes, I accept your blessing." my voice still a bit weak and raspy from before.
She smiles at me with same loving look she had when toying with Cuchulain's soul.
"Stand." she commands.
I stand.
"Follow." She orders.
I do as ordered. She sits in her throne. As she does so her image begins to shimmer. She is now the fay from before. The other two thrones now have occupants. I cant really see them but I know they are there, and who these three are. I also feel the control over me gone.
My will and body are my own once again. The three speak in unison.
"We have released you."
The fay from before now speaks alone.
"We did this because you must willingly give up all you have and all you are. Are you willing to do this?"
I think but all I can think about now is not how she had Cuchulain 's soul or that he was the one of the greatest hero's of Irish myth or that for me to succeed I would have to outshine a hero of his caliber. No, It was the night I first received the Morrigan's call and the love for her I felt.
I now noticed a large cauldron that could fit a man in it was in front of me. The contents where swirling and unidentifiable.
"Before I go though with this I must make my intentions perfectly clear." I state
I walk forward to the fay. I know she is the goddess Babd part of the trinity Morrigan. I take her hands in mine. Look her in the eyes. My eyes tear just slightly but not enough to let any fall.
"I love you, I have loved you since the first moment I received your calling." I state full of emotion.
I look to the other two. "I will complete this task. I will earn your respect. I will marry you." I state
I let go of her hand and step back. All three of them are Smiling back at me with love written on their faces.
They have me stand in front of the cauldron and all three of them, Babd, Macha, and Anu touch my solar plexus. As they do so a bright light begins to shine. They merge into the Morrigan and as they do so she pushes through and into me. I can feel she has a hold of something inside of me. As she pulls it out I realize this is my soul. My consciousness begins to fade and I fall backwards into the cauldron.
I do not fade completely which is odd as I no longer have a soul. Everything comes back into focus. The cauldron is now empty of that unidentifiable liquid. I stand up and get out.
I can now see the Morrigans Necklace glowing a brilliant red.
"I thought Cuchulain 's soul was in there?" I ask
She smiles a sweet smile at me.
"I lied." She says
A moment of awkward silence passes and her smile fades.
"You know our story. He rejected me." She says
"That was the death of your old self and now this is the birth of your new self. Know now that you can not die unless I let you, your whole body is destroyed, or you run out of spirit energy in a death state. See that mark?" she says pointing to what looks like a tattoo on mid section.
Its a raven with Celtic knot work filling its inside.
"This is my Symbol, and proof of my ownership over you. As long as you complete your oath to me, I will return your soul and remove my symbol. Otherwise you are free to do as you wish." She says as she looked down and away with a kind of annoyed look.
"I don't understand." I say.
She gave me a lewd grin stating "You will."
I can now feel her aura or magical presence smothering me. It reminds me of stepping too close a raging fire and the intensiveness of its heat being the intensity of her power.
"I'm am going to entrust you with a mission. Prove your worth to me. The sabbath an arm of the demon lords army, has been invading my lands and converting my people.I want you to stop the ones operating in the fay realms." she commands
She then smiles a blood thirsty smile that sends chills down my spine.
"Our time together is up for now. Come back and see me when your task is done." she states
She snaps her fingers and I was outside the castle with the book from Lilith's shop in my hand.
