Ugly and Mean (ONEshot)

(Week 15, Update 3)
The year was 1944. The day, June 6. It was not a day like any other. It was a day to strike back. It was a day to liberate a nation. It was a day to stare evil in the face and spit. It was a day for young men to die.
The roars and grinding of metal were deafening to the ears of PFC. Anon, but the sea was just as loud. He was odd young man with average features. His gear hanged awkwardly off his shoulders, having been made for a much larger man. That did not mean he was new. He had joined the army when he was 16 under false claims that he was 18. It had been three years since then. He was not here for family, for he had none. He was not here for his country, for he was no patriot. He was here for one sole purpose, to get back at the nation that dare threaten the free world. A nation that dare to conquer under the pretext of a superior race. Anon despised arrogance. It made his blood boil, fueled further by his youth. He was here to destroy that arrogance. He wasn’t supposed to be here, but a pack of cigarettes was all he needed to convince a newbie to switch uniforms. In this uniform he was PFC. Anon and that’s who he would be.
There was complete silence in the landing craft as it rode the waves. A stocky man with a scar above his right eye fidgeted with his Thompson to pass the time while others did the same with their rifles. One soldier tired of the silence and broke it with a simple question, “So what’s yous guys favorite genre of music? Mine is classical.” This seemed to lighten the mood because everybody started giving theirs. They went through most of the popular genres such as country, blues, and swing. One guy even said he liked to listen to birds, but everyone just laughed it off. The tension was returned as spout of water shot to the sky, warning the soldiers they were in range. The quiet of the landing craft had returned and with it, fear. They sat there for what felt like an eternity, there voices silenced by the howitzers. The same soldier tried to bring back the peace, “When I get to the shore…..”. He never got there, for at that very moment a shell tore through the craft's front, tossing the men within out into the roaring channel. Anon hit the water and was met with the blackest abyss he had ever seen.
Anon felt as if he was drowning, yet he could breathe. He looked about, his gear slowly following his motions. It was dark, unnaturally dark. He could see himself, but nothing else. It was sight no mortal man could have comprehended. While in his thoughts Anon felt something come toward him. He quickly turned around to see his assailant but was met with a blinding yet calming light and the roaring of waves.
Anon shot up from his resting position, darting his face around for signs of black. He saw none, but what he did see only caused him further confusion. A forest full of green, blooming with flowers and little creatures running to and fro. He checked his body and found the strap attached to his rifle. He swung it around to inspect. It was not damaged, just a little soaked. The rounds within were oddly dry, but that was a good thing. That’s when he noticed his whole body was still wet, reeking of sea water. Now knowing his body was fine, he got to his feet using his rifle as a makeshift crutch. He hoisted it and planned his course of action. Anon did not know geography well, but he did know what direction the invasion was headed. He decided to head east to meet up with his comrades. Little did he know this was not the world he knew.
Our little Anon was tired. He was hungry and had lost his rations while being thrown out of the landing craft. His water supply wouldn’t last long even with all the rationing he did. He had checked himself constantly for any bit of food, but only found his magazines in pouches hooked to his vest. At least he had plenty of ammo. He had been traveling for three days without finding so much as a sign of people or the army. He needed to find something to eat soon or he his focus would slacken. Anon decided he had to hunt, but with what? He couldn’t use the rifle since it was too loud, but he had an idea. Three hours later Anon found himself next to a fire with two rabbits hanging over the fire, both skinned and gutted. All it took was a little makeshift rope and some hard work to snare these two delicious specimens. While they were roasting Anon prepared himself for his fourth night in this strange place. “Why haven’t I seen the army yet? I’ve been heading east for three days and haven’t seen a single sight of civilization save for an rundown road with little signs of recent activity.” Anon puzzled over these thoughts while he took the rabbits off the spit, figuring that they had cooked long enough. He quickly devoured the corpses and laid himself down for the night. He hoped he would meet someone tomorrow. Little did he know he would get his wish.
“There she goes! Don’t let her escape. The Captain will have our heads if she gets away!” Anon awoke to the sound of men shouting. He acted immediately, his years of training adding swiftness to his actions. He got himself equipped and stood up. He listened intently for the sound of their yelling and followed. After chasing them for some time, Anon could hear them rushing through the bushes much more clearly. He followed their frantic rush at a slower pace as to not give his position away. There were five of them. All of them had the same odd uniform save for one in metal armor. He continued at this pace until they stopped at a clearing in the woods, the very same clearing he had started out at. He couldn’t believe it! He had been going in circles for god knows how long. How long would he be stuck in this forest? All this was forgotten as he heard the sound of a girl’s fear.
“Huff… puff…..You were a hard one to chase monster, but now our game of cat and mouse comes to an end. What should we do with her men? Torture her? Burn her? Make her death slow? Maybe quick?” Anon could not comprehend what the man in metal was thinking. Even though he could not see the girl past the soldiers and had never met her, he felt she didn’t deserve what they were proposing. The girl tried to plead with trepidation in her voice, “P-p-please, just leave me alone. I haven’t hurt anyone and never would. We are but gentle creatures that care for the simple things. Won’t you please just leave me alone?” The man only chuckled and whacked the girl across the face. “That’s rich boys! A monster begging for mercy! That’s one to tell back at the base.” Anon was barely holding his rage back as he observed this arrogant prick call her a monster. So angry that he lifted his rifle and aimed for the man. “Okay boys, it’s time to finish this bitch o…….” *Crack!* The man looked about for the source of the noise. “What was th…..?” His words were halted as he noticed his chest felt oddly heavy and his knees started to give out. He took his hand and placed it on his chest and pulled it up to his face. It was blood. He looked down to see his chest plate leaking crimson down his torso. He put pressure on it, hoping to staunch the bleeding with fumbling hands, but it kept coming. He succumbed to his injuries and fell to the ground. The last he saw as he fell was a man in strange clothing holding a smoking spear.
The other men looked straight at Anon, looks of puzzlement on their faces. “Who is he? Where did he come from?” Anon could only answered back with fury in his voice, “I am PFC. Anon of the U.S. 29th Army Division! You are to surrender your weapons immediately and back away from the girl.” The men need only look at their fallen leader to get the hint. They threw their weapons to the ground and ran in the opposite direction. One of the stopping to pick up their dead commander, not willing to leave his corpse behind. Anon lowered his weapon when he was satisfied they had gotten far enough. He walked over to the girl to inspect the still cowering girl. “Please mister, just leave me alone. I don’t mean any trouble…” Her words are halted as Anon gives her a reassuring hug. He picked her up with some struggle and carried her to his camp. With her babbling having ended Anon got a good look at the girl.
Anon could not believe his eyes at the goddess before him. Her hair was an earthy brown adorned with flowers of various kinds. The skin upon her gorgeous face was a lighter copper spotted with freckles. Her wondrous eyes were like chestnuts upon the forest floor complimenting her odd triangular ears. Her chest was rather large and stuck out from her damaged yet beautiful green dress. Her hands were exceptionally large as were her feet covered in flowers. The last thing Anon noticed was an odd string like thing hanging of her rear also adorned with blossoms. Curiosity got the better of Anon as he pulled the string. “Ooooo, that’s not nice to do a girl after having just met her!” Anon jumped back with confusion in his eyes. “What are you? Why do you have a tail!?” She only looks at him puzzledly and answers him with a slight giggle. “I’m a Troll silly. Most people know this!” Anon was still confused. “A Troll!? Those things are supposed to be ugly and mean!” The girl couldn’t help but puff up her cheeks at having heard her race being called such things. “How dare you call my people ugly and mean! We are a beautiful race that wouldn’t hurt a fly, much less humans.” In her reprimanding of our protagonist, she did not notice that her chest had been slowly coming loose from their restraints. Anon saw a sight to behold as her melons left their baskets, giving him an instant hard on.
Realizing she was open for the world to see, she covered her breasts with her hands and fell to her knees. “Nooooo!”. Even though he was confused at her reaction, he could only think that her squeals were cute. His thought were soon ended as she started to cry. Anon felt so horrible that could not help himself as he put a comforting hand on her shoulder. She whacked away his hand, denying his gesture of comfort. “I don’t need you making me feel better all the time. I don’t know how to repay your kindness. There is...” Her words were paused as she caught sight of his now tenting trousers. Her eyes grew hungry at the sight, leaving Anon puzzled as to why she stopped her little speech. He was immediately surprised when she pounced him and rested her hands on his groin. The words that came out of her mouth as she fiddled with his little soldier only made him harder. “I know exactly how to pay back my little savior.” All Anon could muster in his flustered state was, “Wait! We’ve just met! Don’t you think we should get to know each other? I mean, I don’t even know your name.” She puts her finger against his lips to silence him and leaned down while pressing her chest against his as she whispered sweetly into his ear, “The name’s Telle, now let’s get to business.”
“Mom! Dad’s getting dirty again!” The words came from a disruptive little girl’s mouth. She was a cute thing. Her hair was earthy brown with small flowers adorning it. Her face filled with tiny freckles giving her an adorable appearance. Her hands and feet were rather large for a child, but that was to be expected. She was a troll after all. The woman that enters from the kitchen is an exact replica of this tiny one, but more fat in attractive parts. She enters the living room brandishing a flower pot like it was a weapon of war. “How many times have I told you to not tell those kind of stories to Terra!?” With the ease of a veteran, the man upon the chair sets the little girl down and grabs his wife by her plump waist, leaning her over to get a better view of her face. “I just can’t resist your adorable voice when you’re angry.” His wife can’t help but blush, his words having the desired effect. Taking this opportune moment, he plants a kiss upon her flustered lips. As his mouth ascends from hers, he can't help but see hearts in her eyes. “I love you Anon”. “I love you too Telle”. Little Terra couldn’t help but gag.
