Hello Fans, Ore-samma here!
Another request from this forum = One-shot requests (6) SPECIAL EDITION | Fandom
I'd actually like to see what a Dwarf does in her spare time.
I knew it was going to be a good idea to put the special conditions to this round of requests as it is easier to write and fun too! So much working that it is tempting to just take a break. But then were would all my fans be?
So I continue the craft, for my fans. For you!
Ever your Servant-

“It’s awful! Just awful! They keep messing up my hair and smushing my hat!” Wanda whined.
I sipped from my pint of ale and nodded. “Wanda, you are a witch. You have magics available to you! Why don’t you just use your magic to appear older and mature? Then people will stop trying to give you headpats!” I shrugged. “I don’t know why you hate them so much. Headpats feel so good!” I sighed and rested my head against the back of the chair, blissfully thinking of what I would do to my husband once he came home from his latest job.
“It’s different when it’s your husband, Donna!” Wanda whined. “I don’t have a husband! Just imagine how it would feel if some oaf came up and gave you headpats! Here! Try this on for size.”
A burst of light flashed and a giant hand started to pat and rub my head.
“Hey! Hey! Stop it! Watch it! Stop!” I shouted, batting the magical hand away.
Another flash of light and the hand was gone.
.
“See what I mean?” Wanda said, pouting. “Now imagine that- all day long!”
“Okay! Fine!” I huffed. “I’ll see what I can do about helping you find a man at the festival.” But first, I need to attend to the chores I’ve been meaning to get to! See you tomorrow?”
Wanda squealed and hugged me, kissing me on the cheek and rushed out.
I downed the rest of my pint and quickly finished basting the roast and vegetable and put them in the slow cooker that Wanda sold me a few months ago. I then activated the magic cube that drew all sorts of dust to it and wiped down the surfaces, climbing on the shelves and climbing the curtains to get to the hard-to-reach spots.
And last of all- I got the fresh clean sheets my husband and I were going to soil the moment he came back!
I shivered from the very thought of it and grinned.
“Now, let’s see.” I sat down at my crafting table and picked up where I left off on the music boxes I was making for the festival. “Hmpf! Those silly gremlins always make music boxes that are just too gaudy and lopsided.” I gave the latest one a test, grinning at the lovely tinkling music notes it produced. “Nothing at all like these fine works of art...lets see, that makes one hundred. Now for the pocket watches!”
I deftly cranked out a few dozen watches that were smaller than most grandmaster craftsmen could make due to my small size and keen eye.
“The ticket is, small fingers can work with smaller parts and….and…..” I looked up and snapped my finger- “That’s it! I got it!” I cheered, finally realizing how to get Wanda a husband. I quickly drafted a letter to my mining guild and sent it off via bird-robin courier and returned back to my tinkering.

“Let’s see.” I said, looking up from my last completed animatronic diorama just as the clock chimed eight in the evening.
I walked over to the slow cooker and gave it a sniff. “Aaah! Coming along nicely! It will be the best roast when Husband gets home tomorrow night!”
I looked over the still-fermenting wine barrels and added a little more sugar to make the winter’s batch of wine sweeter than the summer's batch.
I glanced at the garden and gave it a little more water with my water can.
“Whew!” I said, slipping into the tub with enough hot water and bubbles, munching on a sandwich and the watered down ale.
“Tomorrow Wanda!” I sighed as I played with the bubbles made from the soap from the Harpy Bath company. “You’re gonna get a husband!”

I smiled as I set up my shop next to Wanda’s Wagon that was already in place.
Donna’s Delightful Decorative Doo-dads! The cheery sign said. Unlike Wanda, I had to carry my wares with me, but thankfully my stock was not nearly as delicate.
“So, any ideas?” Wanda said, a small pout on her lips as we had a lull in the stream of customers as the festival-goers gravitated towards the food venders around the lunchtime hour.
“Yes! But uh….here, eat this. It is a concentrated Alraune Nectar sweet infused with Royal Jelly.”
“What? Why?” Wanda scoffed. “You just me to get all hot and bothered and jump the next person I see!” She scowled and crossed her arms.
I nodded. “Yep! That’s my plan.”
“Why would you want to make such a silly plan like that? I have standards, you know! Morals! And uh….uh...well….I don’t want to be with just anyone you know!”
“How about a young sorcerer's apprentice who was rented out to the mining guild? That he is young, means he will be your size and won’t be all head patting you and thinking you’re adorable because of your size. That he is a magic-sensitive means you two already have something in common. That he is an apprentice means you will have something you can teach him…..” I raised my eyebrows. “-In more ways than one. And that his magic will develop differently than yours, means he will have something to teach you!”
Wanda opened her mouth to protest, but her eyes clouded over with deep thought and she quickly nabbed the sweet and popped it in her mouth.
“Oh-ffay!” She muttered around the mouthful “Sfffooo wun doff E geff ere?”
I held out the letter that arrived earlier in the day and handed it to her with a big smile. “I’m sure you know how to activate the magical seal on this!”
Wanda took the letter, mumbled her thanks, and quickly rushed into her shop and slammed the door.
“Aaah, I just love happy endings!” I sighed as I flipped the sign on her door from “Open for business!” to “Closed for the day!”
I packed up the earnings from being sold out and sighed as I rode my magical cart back home, already smelling the roast.
Husband would soon be home! And the End-Of-Summer festival was just beginning. I would soon be able to enjoy it with everyone else, and in the arms of my one true love!
“There’s nothing so wonderful like a life full of love!” I sighed as I pulled into the workshop and closed the bay door.
