Prompt: Your Husband comes home Hurt.
I sit him on the couch and go over his injuries. As I start checking him over, I ask where he was mugged.
"Vine Street, sweetheart there was ten of them, please don't do anything rash." I give him a look. I'm a mamono whose husband just came home wounded. What does he think I'm going to do?! He sighs, and grabs my hands.
"Darling, please, I'm not going to let you get hurt too." I grab my coat and the sword my mother gave me.
"Darling, I beat my vampire mother for not respecting my father. Do you think a handful of men will give me trouble?" He gives me a worried look, before sighing and dropping his head.
"I'll call your sister. Just... be safe?" I nod, giving him a smile, before stepping out the door. As I make my way to the street I wonder if my husband will start taking those training sessions of ours seriously. I come up to Vine street, and find there's a large group of men laughing and joking with each other. They're talking about my husband.
"Excuse me." They all look up, and some of them get that smile on their faces. A look of lust and depravity I normally only see on a desperate mamono's face.
"Can we help you hot stuff?" One asks, they start to circle me, and I have to supress the smile. They just think I'm some little girl.
"I believe my husband was mugged around her recently, would you know where to find the men who did it?" They look between each other, and one of them grabs my shoulder.
"Yeah, we can take you right to them, you'd probably want some help dealing with them, right." I smile at the man, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh, I think I'm pretty capable." Grabbing his wrist, I duck under him and twist, pulling his arm behind him and use my free hand to draw my sword. Stabbing him through the chest, I throw him to the ground and leap over him to the next. The third man's collapsed by the time the rest react. One reached into his pocket, but I had him on the ground before he'd finished. Two more fell before one grabbed my arm, and another tackled me.
He held my arms and kneeled over me, all but snarling. I just kept a smug grin on my face.
"Fucking bitch! I'm going to fucking murder you for this!" I spat at his face, getting him right in the eye. He roared and took one of his hands from my wrist, and I put the arm into his throat, hard enough to make him choke. I then rolled the two of us over, landing on top of him and punching him in the face, hopefully giving him a black eye.
The remaining three turned to run, but my vampiric side gave me speed to spare. Grabbing my sword on the way passed I ran and cut down each one in passing. I turn to see the men, collapsed and bleeding spirit from their bodies, all but one.
The man I punched was trying to reach into his friends pocket. I call out and he looks up in fear. I'm halfway down the street, and I'll be on top of him in a few seconds. He pulls the thing from his friends pocket, and I can't help but laugh. A small handgun, capable of little more than threatening.
"Bitch, just stay there, and we can all walk away!" I shake my head.
"No, I don't think so." I dart across the street, vampiric agility sending me passed lights and down the road. He tried to shoot me a few times, but before he knew it I was holding my sword to his throat. "Have you learned anything?"
"Yeah, shoot first, fuck later." I scowl at him, cracking the pommel of the sword against his jaw.
"I'm going to call the police, you should all be waking up by the time they get here."
"Up yours, cunt." He coughs. I just stick him with the sword, before calling the cops. I make my way home, hoping my sister hasn't been too stressful for my husband. I step inside, and my vampire sister is sitting on the couch, my husband sitting on the floor. I sigh.
"Fey, what the hell are you doing?" She looks over with a worried look in her eye, the glass of wine in her hand finding it's way onto the coffee table.
"Um, well, I was just, umm... is that... mum's sword?" Her eyes go wide as she recognises the blade I hang up with my coat.
"Had to deal with some trouble. Is my husband okay?" I look over and she's already lifted him onto the couch, even put his legs up. "Feet aren't allowed on the coffee table, Fey." She hangs her head and I smile.
"You're not hurt, are you dear?" He asks, getting up and walking over to me I brush him off, holding his hand.
"Of course not. A few thugs were no match for me. Maybe those training sessions will seem a little more important now?" I ask with a smile, he gives me a sigh and returns the smile.
"Um... I think I'll leave now... so, see ya sis." I grab her hand as she's walking out the door.
"Oh no you don't. Any mess you made you're cleaning up." She whines, but I make her go back into the living room to clean up. Perk of already having beaten my mother is that my sisters are scared of me. Half an hour and she managed to eat several packets of snacks and drink half a bottle of wine. After she's cleaned up and left me and my husband are sitting together on the couch, his head in my lap.
"Thank you for doing that sweetheart." I smile and brush a hand through his hair.
"You're welcome, darling. There's nothing else I could have done. You're everything to me, and I'd never let you get hurt." He reaches up and grabs my hand.
"I know, and that's why I love you."
