Nervous at all the eyes on me, but in awe at the fact she feels that way. I slowly make my way to the stage, all eyes following me, but the only pair I'm watching is hers. As I climb the stage she throws her arms around me, quietly whispering in my ear. "Do you love me too?"
I grab the sides of her head, looking deep into those eyes and kiss her. There's a cheer as we kiss, and it lasts several minutes before we break apart. Did that answer her question? Her eyes are wet with tears, and she cries out in joy. She grabs the mic again.
"One more song, for all my lovely fans." She says, and a minotaur takes me off to the back of the stage with a surprisingly gentle hand on my back. I sit there, listening as she sings to the crowd, a smile that refuses to leave my lips. When she's done she comes running backstage and dives into my arms, wrapping her wings around me.
"I've got a special song prepared, just for you." She whispers, and pushes me into her room. The song she sings there is all but lost on me. Each word more faint than the last, each word makes my blood run hotter, until finally I can't hold back anymore. Unintentionally silencing her with a kiss, I quickly disrobe, her doing the same.
I can't say how long we spent in there, since time seemed to stop mattering once we began, but I know when we were finished there was daylight streaming through the window. We snuggled up together, she softly chirps as she snuggles in deeper to me.
"Please. Please never leave me." She whispers into my ear. Planting a kiss on her forehead I tell her how I could never leave her alone now. She lets out a girly squeal and wriggles even deeper into me. "My cart is big enough for the both of us to travel in. Promise." I ask if she can promise me one other thing. She pulls her head back and looks at me curiously. I ask if we can come back home every now and again. She nods, kissing me on the lips.
"Of course we can. I would never want to forget our time here, when we were younger." I smile and kiss her back. Things are good.
