Prompt:The Sexually Starved Games 3
Well, this is unexpected, and certianly not what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Was it this morning? How long have we been at sea, anyway? I suppose the questions don't matter given what I'm about to get into. Getting off the ship, I follow along with a small group, most people are forming up. I witness more than one poor sap try to get back onto the ship as it leaves again.
He quickly gets caught by a large tentacle and pulled under the waves. Focusing on the infested island ahead of us, I start to treck inland with the small group. I hear a handful of screams from a couple of different directions, and we decide to thread a path between them, heading for a mountainous looking area on the island, hoping to find shelter in a cave. Keeping careful eyes on the land around us, I find myself locking on to any movement around us, even as I hear people running through the coastal forest.
A few hours of cautious skulking through the growing jungle, we find a small, burnt out hut to hide in for rest. We each open our cases, finding two canteens of water, a few dry rations, and some hard tack, along with a flint firestarter, a needle, and a dagger. Not the tastiest stuff, but it will keep us running.
"D-does anyone here have experience in... this stuff?" One of the women, looking absolutely terrified, asks. Me and one other nod, and I look at them.
"I was a scout for three years, you?" I shake my head.
"Just a lot of camping trips with my folks. Goddess, I hope they're okay." The others all nod in sympathy, thinking of their families.
"Look, we need to make this last as long as possible. Can't trust the food on this hell island." I nod, accepting the scouts words as law, tearing a bite of tack off and ripping one of the rations in half. If we're gonna live out this twisted game, we'll need all the advantages we can get.
We set out again, hiking through the jungles, until the scout stops us, and looking down the way, I see why. Sitting in the middle of our path, is a massive flower, nectar practically dripping over the edge of the petals. And standing in the middle of it, pulling a few juicy looking berries from a nearby tree, is a woman whose curves could challenge Eros herself. We're still a good ways away from her, but I can smell something heavenly sweet.
"Alraune, and this one looks far overripe. We need to back up and give a wide berth." The scout starts backing up, as do I and most of the others. Two, though, stand, sniffing like they're transfixed on the scent. As we move back, they move forward. Someone reaches out to grab one of them, but our leader stops them. "There's nothing we can do for them now. We just need to keep ourselves going."
We kept backing up, and had to turn away as the men reached the flower, the second one getting pulled to the side by an unknown monster.
After a few more hours of travel, we find a large hollow beneath a few trees, seemingly naturally formed between their roots, we set up, covering the entrance with some debris. Our leader made a small torch out of a branch and a strip of cloth from his shirt. Looking over our group, I sighed. There were six of us, two women and four men, and we sat in this small hollow, lit by a small torch, and already getting paranoid about every sound outside of this tiny sanctuary.
"Alright, we need to set a watch. I'll go first, you seem to have sharp eyes and ears, take second." He pointed at me, and I nodded.
"Okay. Have you... what should I be looking for?" He gave me a quick look, before sighing.
"Honestly? Anything. Movement in the trees? Could be harpies, mantis', hornets, and if it's coming through the brush it could be just about anything. From a minotaur to a soldier beetle." Nodding I settled down to try and get some rest. It didn't go well, and I mostly ended up just tossing and turning in the night until my watch came up. I sat there, just outside out little haven, dagger clutched tight in my hand just in case.
Thankfully nothing came. Dawn came over the isle without any disturbance to us. Though there had been a few distant shrieks around us. We prepared ourselves for the day ahead, and our scout leader made a very crude bow and a handful of arrows for himself.
"B-but what about us?" One of the others asked.
"I've spent years practicing with a bow. Most of you probably never even picked on up. And I don't think we have time for me to train you how to use them." Some of the others muttered about themselves, but I still trusted our group lead. He'd kept us going for the first day, at least.
But we couldn't stay here for our whole time. It was far too small, open and easily flushed. So, we headed out again, into the dangers of the island. Sneaking through the brush, we heard some loud buzzing after a an hour, and ducking down into the underbrush, saw two hornets fly overhead, scanning the horizon for prey. Guess our grace period was over.
We pulled ourselves up and continued on, no one spoke as we trecked through the jungle foliage, though one of the girls was prone to picking berries from various bushes, no matter what we warned against. We were just reaching a clearing when a loud crash from beside us caught our attention. Sure enough a monster was approaching, fast and without a care if we spotted her. I reached into my pants to pull out my dagger, and a few of the others did the same, as the scout drew his bow back.
None of us wanted to fight what was coming our way though. A very large minotaur, probably a good head and a half bigger than any of us, all firm muscle except for her barely contained bust that bounced around in a leather sleeve, but what really caught the eye was the trunk cleaving axe in her hands, tearing through one tree after another as she charged us down.
Our scout took several shots as she approached, though none seemed to stick, and as she reached us, most just dived out of the way. One of the girls tackled the charging monster, stabbing her wildly with her dagger around her waist. I shot forward, instinct pushing me to help her, adrenaline stopping me from thinking of the consequences as I jumped on her, stabbing her a half dozen times in the neck and throat. When she collapsed, we stared at the body in shock. The dozens of stab wounds only showed a light blush, no cuts, no welts, just a little redness that couldn't even be called irritation.
"I-it's fine?" The woman asked, looking at her dagger, then to the minotaur.
"That's how these silvered weapons work, they don't kill, just sap ones strength. Monsters prize taking prisoners over casualties. What they do with them? Well, just look around and guess." He stepped down and looked it over. There wasn't much on the thing, just the few strips of leather that could barely be called decent, and the massive axe none of us were giong to be able to use. "Let's keep moving."
"B-but shouldn't we kill it?" The scout turned to the woman with her dagger in hand, a serious look on his face.
"An island of monsters is one thing. They're difficult to avoid, but possible. A monster will never forgive a killer, never stop hunting them. And if there's one thing these monsters are good at, it's hunting. Kill this one, and there'll be a dozen more right behind her." We looked between each other, before nodding.
"Okay then, what do we do with it?" He shook his head.
"Nothing. We move on and get as far as possible before it wakes up. Now come on." And without looking back at us he started moving, the five of us following behind him. I hung back, looking at the girl who'd made the first move. She was still shaking, and I noticed she'd picked up another dagger, holding one in each hand.
"Hey, you okay? That was a hell of a move." She jerked as her face moved up to look at me.
"U-uh, ah, yeah. I-I'm good. T-thanks for helping. Not sure I would have been enough on my own." We're speaking in whispers, and her voice still has the edge of adrenaline, not that I can blame her.
"We need to look out for each other. The only thing we have is our numbers." She nodded, still looking a little jittery as we kept going, silence falling again. We stopped for a few minutes under a large tree, the other woman eating a pile of picked berries as the rest of us pulled out our rations.
"Those things probably aren't good for you, you know." I say to her, and she gives me a blank look, and a smile.
"But they're so sweet and juicy. They really taste a lot better than those rations."
"But they could turn you into a monster. You should stop eating them." The scout said, not even looking at her as he watched around us. She just rolled her eyes and popped the last berry into her mouth. We set out again, one of the men starting to lag behind from exhaustion. When we heard buzzing coming our way again, we ducked for cover, watching two more hornets fly over, with someone slumped over one of their backs, a young woman from the look of it.
We couldn't do more than look on in sorrow as they flew off with her, taking her to whatever hell awaited all who failed this little game. When we were sure we were safe, we set off again, wandering carefully through the jungle, looking for anything that might work as a more stable shelter, and wouldn't draw too much attention.
After another day of exploration, we find ourselves hiding in a small, decayed hut, the man who'd been falling behind collapsing as soon as we finish prepping the spot. The rest of us settled down, following our setup from the night before. As I got up for my watch, keeping an eye on the door in, I noticed that the woman who'd picked up the second knife was awake, looking at the scout with suspicion.
"Hey." I whiispered, getting her attention, trying to keep my eyes on the outside. "What are you doing? You should be sleeping." She nodded, practically bouncing her way over to me, clearly full of energy.
"I-I just couldn't sleep. Something about this, all this, it has me... I feel so full of energy. almost like it's going to start popping out of my head if I don't keep moving." I give her a worried look, she still has both daggers in hand, and I realise she never dropped them. "How do we know he's not being selfish?" I look at her again, and she's looking at the scout.
"He's kept us going so far."
"Except for those two guys with the plant thing. He just let them go, didn't even try to stop them. Who's to say he's not whittling us down until he's got us as his little puppets?" I sigh, shaking my head.
"I'd be more worried about her." I point to the other girl, shifting in her sleep, occasionally gasping. "She's been eating a lot of those berries. I don't know if it's good for her, I think she may be going off the deep end."
"Well, if she does turn into one of them, I can always just use my new favourite weapons to take her out." I look at her, worried about how fond she's gotten of the daggers.
"Where'd you even find the second one?" She gives me a slightly manic smile.
"Well, the other two didn't need theirs anymore." Now I'm quite worried, and sit up on watch with her fidgeting next to me. Dawn doesn't come peacefully this time. We spot a small group walking up to the building, but they seem to be human, so I make myself known, ushering them towards us. That was my first mistake. They were human, but armed with clubs, and spattered with blood.
"People, thank the gods. We've been fighting off monsters all night." He brandished his spiked, bloodstained club proudly.
"Y-you've been killing them?" I ask, worry creeping up on me, the girl next to me twitching with her daggers in hand.
"Yeah, they're not so tough if you can get the drop on them. Probably took out three or four so far." There was a twang, the scout suddenly up with his bow at the ready, another arrow knocking up to replace the warning.
"Get out of here." He growled, they all looked at him in confusion.
"What?"
"Go, get the Pande away from us. You're being hunted, and they're not going to stop hunting you, idiots." They looked at each other, then back at him, but they weren't scared, and I could feel my own grip tightening on the dagger in my hand.
"Listen, prick, we're cleaning this island up. We're not afraid of a few soft bodied monsters, unlike you."
"Well, then you don't need to hide here. So go clean up."
"I think we could use some extra rations, you wouldn't happen to have any spare, would you?" The woman next to me stepped up, her mouth running as fast as her feet.
"I think you should step out before things get messy. Would hate to start carving you up like a big turkey." They turned on her, and one made the mistake of grabbing her. Like a whirlwind, she kicked off into a storm of slashing, first the one who'd grabbed her, then cleaving two more before they'd even reacted, the last two practically tripped over each other trying to get away, and she gave chase.
None of us dared to follow her, leaving the three unconscious men outside. with a note for any monsters who found them. Dawn arrived a few hours later, though we were long gone by then. Following a small river, we filled our canteens, and followed it up to a small lake, a few people huddled around a small fire.
We're cautious, though these ones seem more in control. They watch our approach with caution of their own, only four of them, and now five of us.
"So, you've been surviving off of your rations this long?" One asked as we pulled the last of our clean food out.
"Yeah. Well, most of us." We all looked to the girl, happily munching away on yet more berries, giving us all a curious look.
"They're so tasty." She says, popping another into her mouth, and the man who's been lagging behind reaches over and takes one from her hand, she doesn't try to stop him. He pops it into his mouth, and nods.
"Very good taste." He says happily, his tired demeanour brightening instantly. The rest of us are suspiscious of it, but are also pretty hungry.
"We've been catching fish out of the lake and cleaning them with the daggers. They're good tools, even if they don't really kill most things." One of the others said, pulling a fish down from a hanging stick. We had a decent meal with them, sitting and happily sharing a catch with them as we talked. But, we all agreed we needed to move on, too large a group would only attract attention.
So, we set off again, heading away from the clear lake in a direction that looked like hills. As we were looking for a place to bunker down for the night, we came across another hazard. A massive, near invisible web, spread between two trees. We were about to go around it, when a web shot down and snatched one of the others up. In a panic, the rest of us bolted, trying to stick together as we heard running and shouting, but inevitably, we were seperated. I found myself alone, hiding behind a rock as something heavy stalked passed me.
When the sound of footsteps eventually wore away, I sighed, looking around, and spotting something... sparking? It moved fast, but there was a faint spark of blue as it did. By the time I worked out it was coming for me, it was practically on top of me, a manic grin, and flashing pair of daggers clutched in it's hands, and bright blue sparks jumping across her body.
"Hey there you, remember how I went chasing those guys? Well a monster found me and I tried to fight it but she just knocked me down and stuck me with my own daggers, said I'd learn and I guess I did, and I really really really need to fuck something right now, you don't mind, right? You were so nice back in the hut, and with the minotaur, you know she's really pissed at us for that? She just wanted to shove one of you guys down and mount you for days and days, and I feel like I could do that right now so I'm just going to do it." I barely have time to process what this wild woman said before she's tearing my magic pants away, and I stare wide eyed as they simply disintegrate.
With a speed and passion I didn't think possible she mounts me. The feeling is nothing short of electrical, bolts of pleasure and passion running through me. I don't know how long I spend there, leaning against a rock, getting shocks of pleasure from a partner who just seems tireless, giving everything she asked for and more. All I know is that by the time I wake up, I'm snuggled against a very fluffy pair of ears, and a very content looking monster. As her eyes open, she gives me a goofy grin.
"Sorry. I was a little... juiced up. Apparently this kind of monster stores up erotic electricity, and we kind of blast it into our partners to make them just go and go." She leans up and plants a peck on my cheek. "You were incredible, by the way. A real soldier when it comes to pumping a girl with love." I sigh, thinking about what this must mean. I'm probably done here, anyway, and honestly I'd been getting used to spending all my time in the jungle.
"So, what now? Are we meant to hunt down the others left, or just head somewhere." She giggles, snuggling into me some more.
"Well, I'm not in a rush to get anywhere, not now that I have you, at least.for now. I'm sure I'll get all zippy again, but you'll just have to look after me, won't you?" She gives me another smile, and I can't help but shake my head.
"I guess so. Wonder if any of the others got away." She gets a big grin on her face at the mention of the others.
"Oh, Mr Scout definitely didn't. I found him first...." She shudders and looks down at the discarded daggers. "They work really well when you channel electricity through them."
"I'll have to take your word for it." I say, giving her a hesitant kiss on the forehead, earning another giggle.
"You'll get used to it. I'm still getting used to it myself. But I think jabbing myself with that dagger was the best thing I ever did." I look at her confused, but she just smiles and snuggles in against me. I guess this is my life now, on a mystery island with a strange girl.
