By and large most Human and Demihuman Races have viewed and continued to view Monsters as nothing more than uncivilized savages, who live meaningless existances and contribute nothing to those who live their lives in accordance to the Gods, fit only to be eradicated.

Even at their worst however, this has not been completely true. For example, Demonkind have traditionally observe a strict hierarchy, Orcs and Ogres hold a strong warrior culture, and the various Beastmen believe in the sanctity of clanhood, and so on and so forth.

Having said that, Monster Culture has been surrounded in death, violence, cruelty, and antagonism to those who worship the Gods, so one can easily undestand why the so called 'civilized races' have the view of Monsters that they do.

Despite that, or more truthfully because of that, one of the founding aims of the Magitec Institute was to understand all that there could be about Monsters. It was due to the belief that ʻto defeat ones enemy, you must know ones enemyʼ. Because of this belief, they would often capture Monsters, dissect them, study their culture and tactics, all in an effort to defeat them, eradicate them, and save more lives. The advances and discoveries made by these brave Scholars have facilitated the turning point of many a battle, and perhaps because of this Scholars throughout Human Kingdoms are well regarded.

Even with the ascension of the current Demon Lord, these efforts were continued, but the massive changes made to all of Monster-Kind did not go unnoticed. The many scholars noted the massive cultural changes made, Monsters no long obsessed over killing and death, but sex and rape. Still however, Monsters were still largely viewed as unintelligent beasts. This was despite how Monster Culture is flourishing, not just in the lands owned by the Demon Lord, but in Monster societies around the world. Human society as a whole though, did begin to take notice of how Monsters had changed. For one, many men were charmed by the beauty and devotion Monsters exhibited. Many women even ran off to become Monsters themselves. Perhaps most noticeably is that a thriving slave trade of Monsters opened up, not seen in ages prior since Monsters were too violent and unruly to be trusted for any suitable task. But in this modern Era, Monsters were found to be more intelligent, submissive, more pliable to the needs of mankind. Though still rife with its own set of problems, this served as a departure from ages past, where all Monsters were killed on sight, and were rarely kept alive for any reasons.

Still though, most Humans still believed that Monsters and Humans could not truly coexist with one another. Monsters were still found to be hostile and aggressive. Even those who became the Husbands of Monsters typically found themselves in a society dominated by Monsters, and woman would inevitably become Monsters themselves. In the case of Monsters who were raised by Humans, they still possessed a hard-coded instinct to assault men and women when they reached sexual maturity.

But at some point or another, some Monster breeds, specifically breeds like Holstaur and Weresheep, began coexisting with Humans, the places they came to live in did not become overrun by Demonic Energy (at least in the way that the Humans thought they would), women were not forcefully converted into Monsters, men were not assaulted, and Monsters and Men were living together peaceably. Many communities that held such monsters even began to boom thanks to their presence.

This caught the attention of the Magitec Institute. Perhaps, they thought, if there were Monsters out there who had evolved to coexist with Humans, to serve them, then perhaps in the same way that man had made various animals and plants to serve them, so too could they do so with Monsters. Thus began a series of experiments to domesticate various Monsters. The Scholars believed the more Monsters who can be brought to subservience to the God-Worshipping Races, the more successful they would be, the stronger they would become, the more they can be able to resist the Monstrous Hordes. Even some of the zealous Anti-Monster states of the Order will tolerate these subservient Monsters wtihin limits, though they are treated as Second-Class citizens it is preferable to being executed on sight. The success of these projects have unfortunately caused some to believe that it is easy to take a wild Mamano, and try to Domesticate them themselves. The success of these attempts varies from species to species, and from individual, but most of the time that wild Mamano ends up assaulting their would be owner.

In case you are wondering, the requirements for a Domestic Mamano typically include the following:

  • They don't assault men or women, raping either. This is considered the most important trait. While it is seemingly impossible to eliminate a Monsters lustful nature, most people will settle as long as the Domestic Mamano can function within norms of Human Society.
  • They take orders and respect the commands of Humans. After all, the point of a Domestic Mamano is that they serve Mankind, much in the same way a dog, or a horse does. Domestic Mamano are typically considred second class citizens, as such, they should respect all Humans. That said though, they are still allowed some rights, a man cannot simply beat down a Domestic Mamano, as that is after all another mans valuable property.
  • They lack the same strength of most Monsters. Though most Domestic Mamano are still typically stronger than the average Human, their comparitive weakness makes them easier to control, and makes Humans less wary around them.
  • They can be useful to Humans. Even those in Domestication Programs are uninterested in Monsters Breeds that even were they to become weaker and more subservient to Humans can offer nothing else besides. Being able to produce certain materials, such as wool, or milk, or fulfilling certain tasks, such as acting as a servant or laborer, are the desired results, as Domestic Mamano fill those roles they can bolster Human Society, strengthening it to better withstand the attacks of other Monsters.

Additionally the Order is willing to allow certain breeds of Monsters into their ranks for fight of the Monstrous Horde of the Demon Realm (Dwarves, Elves, and some Elementals are technically considered Monsters, but freely enlist in the Orders Ranks), so long as they can be trusted to devote themselves to the cause (mostly meaning fight when they are meant to fight, and don't betray the army to the Monstrous Horde, or the Order's enemies). But even though many Domestic Monsters could fit the bill, many make poor warriors, so only a few Domestic Breeds work enlist in a warriors capacity. Domestic Monsters do however often help in other capacities, typically busywork away from the fighting.

Test Slime

One of the first species chosen for experimentation and experimentation study by the Magitec Institute. Slimes were chosen for several reasons. For one they are a very weak species, and so are easily caught and contained. They mature and breed relatively quickly, meaning there are many subjects to experiment on. Slimes are also already harvested by Humans and other Monsters for their jelly, already making them useful to Humans. Lastly, Slimes are a very adaptive species, there are already many mutational subspecies, many Slimes in fact mutate into a subspecies upon moving into a new environment, which means slimes as a species are very malleable, so it was hoped that creating a less aggressive, and more useful breed would be easy.

As such, great leaps in knowledge were made when trying to domesticate slimes. One issue that had to be overcome was regarding breeding. Monsters recognize only Humans as the Males of their race, and coupling with a Monster is considered sinful. The solution that was reached were to use petty criminals and lawbreakers as breeding stock as a way to work off their sentence. It was helpful as well that most Monsters, Slimes included, while they will only ever mate with one man, are willing to tolerate sharing a man, and typically aren't picky about who they deem as their 'Husband'. In fact domestication programs seem to work swiftest on species who can share men. Additionally there are also rumors that some Scholars take to breeding Monsters themselves, but the Magitec Institute vehemently denies this.

Slimes were also found to be very receptive to the numerous spells cast on them. An unintended side-effect of this was that some of the slimes began acquiring magical talent and the ability to conjure spells, as well as a sharp increase in intelligence. Thankfully however, they were also made much more submissive and obedient, which was the intended effect, and as such the project was deemed a success. After some more refinement, it was found this batch of Slimes made great assistants, and many in the project used them as such, both as subjects an experimenters.

The only failure in the project is that it was estimated that because of the malleability of Slimes as a species that a greater number of Slime Subspecies could be produced, each helping to fulfill different roles, and to gather more data on the Domestication process. However it is believed that because of how easily Slimes could absorb magical properties, that the entire batch absorbed each spell that was used, and as such all the different Slimes became a single new species.

The properties of these Test Slimes differ from their wild cousins in these ways:

  • Most Slimes tend to have a difficult time keeping the shape of their bodies consistent at all times. Even the most advanced Slimes usually have parts of their body pool at their feet should be. Test Slimes meanwhile have much better control of their forms, they keep a slim Human form at all times, unless they become too injured or exhausted. Though they can still assume a more blob-like form at will.
  • Their intelligence is much higher than the average slime, being able to understand Human laws and customs. Not only that, but its believed they have a higher intelligence than most Humans, they can read and write very well, they often choose to spend time studying, and absorb knowledge readily, even being able to recite word for word conversations or lectures theyʼve heard in the past. This lends some of their Masters to use them to memorize the trivial knowledge necessary for their research so as to have it readily available.
  • Test Slimes also have instilled in them a sense of Human Modesty much greater than in Wild Slimes, the Magitec Institute has made for them apprentice uniforms made of rubber for their viscous bodies. The uniform consists of a pair of rubber boots, coat, and the signature hat of the Magitec Institute. Many also wear gloves to keep from contaminating any important items. That said, they tend not to have the greatest grasp of the concept compared to humans, and might reveal a scandalous ammount of their bodies, or at least it has been observed around their owners.
  • Test Slimes lack any real aggression, they simply follow around their masters, and perform assigned tasks without question. In fact they donʼt tend to really do anything unless it is on their Masters behalf. That said, they tend to keep themselves busy so as to be more useful and better serve their Masters.
  • They also serve as magical mediums, befitting there names, many Mages and Scholars use Test Slimes to experiment with various magical effects. This is the reason that they are still today referred to as Test Slimes. In fact their use as magical mediums is so great, that they are used in almost all areas of research and experimentation.
  • The Test Slimes come in a variety of colors, in contrast to wild Slimes who typically are locked to a specific color depending on their race, a Test Slimes color is easily mutable, so when trying to procure one, they can be in almost any color one wishes.
  • Lastly, like other Slimes, they are cultivated for their jelly. Test Slime Jelly has been noted to have a fizzy taste, while having a sharp kick to it, it makes very popular candy.

White Rat

Taking their experience gained from the domestication of Slimes, the Magitec Institute attempted to do the same with the Mamano species the Large Mouse.

Large Mice like Slimes, breed and mature relatively quickly, they have a higher birthrate as a species compared to other Monster Girls, their polygamous nature made breeding easier, and they are already used by some Mages and Sorcerers as Magical Catalysts. With a viable process for domestication already pathed out before them, the experimentation proceeded quickly and efficiently. Within only a few generations a Domestic Large Mouse breed was made.

While sometimes referred to as Lab Rats, the are mostly referred to as White Rats, owing to the fact that all of the Domestic breed mysteriously exhibited Albinism, meaning they have pale skin, snow-white hair, and either pale pink or pale blue eyes. Their appearance is also typically more groomed, downplaying some of their more beastly traits.

While a Large Mouse could easily store magical energy, they had no means of releasing this energy outside of biting those around them, sometimes resulting in young girls turning into a Large Mouse themselves. White Rats however can cast the magic they absorb, being able of learning how to cast spells, and discharge their magic this way, meaning there is no worry of any buildup. As such, they are like Test Slimes, great magical mediums, and still frequently used in research and experiments. Lastly their bites no longer cause any Monsterization in any recorded case (though one has to wonder how the Magitec Institute came to this certainty).

In terms of personality, they contrast greatly with their more monstrous cousins, White Rats are a very meek and shy race, they avoid socialization and eye-contact with anyone they donʼt consider a good friend (their Master, or co-apprentices), and even around them they can be rather skittish. They are however hard workers and very studious, but perhaps because of their skittish nature, they can be rather clumsy and incompetent, but though they often get down on themselves, they are completely diligent, and dutiful. They are often kept as apprentices, and used for magical experiments. They, along with Test Slimes, have become a common sight around various magical and scholarly institutions. Their bodies are rather weak however, so they are only good for jobs that arenʼt labor-intensive, and their clumsy nature lessens their attractiveness as workers, but they have also become popular pets, especially among young girls.

Lastly, somehow the Demonic organization, the Sabbath got a hold of a batch of White Rats, and has completely integrated them into their cult, using them for various lewd and obscene experiments of their own.

Domestic Wererabbit

The third attempt of the domestication project of the Magitec Institute.

Wererabbits were viewed as one of the most difficult monsters to try to Domesticate of the Monsters originally chosen for the project. While Wererabbits tend to be less aggressive and more amicable to Humans than most Monsters, and they have a higher average fertility rate compared to other Monsters, they also were physically stronger, and were less inclined to share breeding stock. However it was also believed that their ability to absorb magic was similar to Large Mice, and Slimes which would aid in experimentation.

While it took several attempts, the domestication of the Wererabbit ended up being the most successful in terms of expected outcomes. Whereas Slimes were expected to produce a variety of subspecies that would provide more data for the project, and the White Rats albinism came as an unexpected and unaccounted surprise, Domestic Wererabbits were produced completely within expected parameters, though not without any deviation whatsoever. The aim was to create a less beastly, more Human-like Monster, that lacked any Monstrous aggression, and unlocked their magical ability.

The project was a success, the Wererabbits in the project lacked most if not all fur (some retained fur on their legs that resembled stockings), their legs became much more Human-like (and rather shapely at that) though they still retained beastly traits like their ears, tail, and buck-teeth. Additionally, while their feet became mostly Human in nature, they were larger than average compared to most women. Almost all Wererabbits in this case were rather ashamed of this fact, and have taken to wearing heeled shoes to help disguise this. When it came to their aggression levels, there were no cases of a Wererabbit attacking any men (at least no cases that were reported), but they did have a noticeably flirtatious personality, and were not above flaunting their shapely bodies.

As for their magical ability, Wererabbits were shown to have the aptitude for Magic akin to the average Human, and had the qualities of a magical medium, though not to the same extent of a Test Slime, or White Rat. Still, their bodies seemed to take to magical enchantments very readily. While the results that came from the project were not those that were completely those that the Institute had expected, since the end result was satisfactory, and there were no unexpected surprises as in the previous projects, the Domestication of Wererabbits where deemed a success, and with these three species, Test Slimes, White Rats, and Domestic Wererabbits, even the Cardinals in the Holy Order began to consider the idea that Monsters could be made to serve Humanity. Meanwhile the Institute began distributing their research allowing the Domestication of Monsters to begin to spread across Human Kingdoms.

Domestic Wererabbits are kept as apprentices and assistants by the Magitec Institute, but have proven to be extremely popular servants, as maids, waitresses, or as caregivers. Curiously Domestic Wererabbits have quite the affinity for fashion, many have become apprentice seamstresses. In particular the preferred garb of those Wererabbits who have become Mages, an ensemble of high-heeled shoes, stockings, a tight one-piece that stops at the breasts, and sometimes a jacket, with wrist cuffs additionally top-hats have become very popular among them. This has become seen as the desired state of dress for all Domestic Wererabbits, and has become very popular among their wild cousins, and even other Monsters, though many of those who keep Wererabbits as servants prefer they were something more conservative, at least while working. It should also be noted that among those who wish to take a wild Mamano and domesticate it themselves, Wererabbits are the most common Mamano that is targeted. Thankfully these attempts tend to produce mixed results, with the Wererabbit forcibly obtaining a Husband, but nonetheless fulfilling whatever role it had been taken for.

Wolfhound Kobold

While organized Domestication Projects regarding Monsters are a newer phenomenon, those who have become forced to be the husbands of Monsters, or those families have had their family members become Monsters have been making similar attempts to civilize Monsters since the current Demon Lord has taken power. Those of the Wolf family of Monsters, perhaps because they are so closely related to Dogs who are considered Manʼs best friend (and who are also some of the first animals domesticated by Humanity) were the most responsive to these attempts.

Oftentimes adventurers or warriors would be attacked by Werewolves, but upon their defeat would act as affectionate and loyal hounds to them. Those women who were bitten by Werewolves, and became Monsters themselves, while having to reconcile their new wilder instinct, could with patience, remain and act the same as they had previously in society. It had even got to the point where many Werewolf women could hide their monstrous traits, and act like normal Humans. As such, what is considered to be the greatest example of Domestic Mamano, is the Kobold, a Monster with the traits of a loyal and loving dog. They are so docile that even in some of the most zealous Order states, they are kept as pets or servants.

As such there has been an interest in developing different breeds of Kobold because of their docile and subservient nature. Many breeds have already been made in fact, there are those with larger stature, uniquely patterned fur, or long wooly hair. Most of these breeds are simply for show however, and are not treated or act that much differently than typical Kobolds. Though there are many who believe that pure-bred Kobolds are of a higher status to lowborn Kobold mutts, both among Domestic Mamano and Humans.

One unique breed is the Wolfhound Kobold, which has many of their wild cousins traits, but retain a Kobolds temperament, and lack the ability to turn other women into Monsters. They are faster and stronger than regular Kobolds, and seem to excel at subduing Monsters as such, while still popular as pets, they are very frequently used as guards of smaller areas, like farms, outposts, or small villages, or even as personal escorts. This talent doesnʼt seem to help them when they are outnumbered by stronger monsters, which is why they arenʼt employed in larger areas, or in large numbers of the Orderʼs military, though they are still employed in various armies and militias in smaller capacities.

Something to note, Werewolves even from the era of the previous Demon Lords shared a weakness to silver and wolfsbane. In todays era these materials were used to help suppress a Werewolves wild instinct, wild Werewolves could easily be subdued with silver, and if one snuck wolfsbane into their food then their monstrous strength and aggression would be robbed. As such, silver and wolfsbane help greatly with civilizing those in the Werewolf family, and are recommended for adventurers, and they are also worn proudly by tamed Werewolves to show off their status (many married Werewolves have their wedding rings made out of silver). Most Kobolds however, because they lack a werewolves typical strength and aggression donʼt seem to have any adverse affects when exposed to these materials.

Wolfhound Kobolds though, because of the closer physical similarities to them and Werewolves still have these weaknesses. Wolfsbane and silver can rob them of all strength, so knowledgable Humans, and even Monsters can get past them. Demon Realm Silver holds the same influence over Werewolves and Wolfhound Kobolds as well, which is another reason they arenʼt used to fight many monsters by the Order. Wolfsbane also has a secondary effect on Werewolves and Wolfhounds, in that while it robs them of strength and aggression, in anything but vey small doses it acts as a powerful aphrodisiac, turning them into a simple bitch in heat.

Additionally they have an ability to command respect amongst other Domestic Monsters, possibly because of their lineage of both Monsters, and being one of the most loyal species of Monsters to Humans, and take it upon themselves to keep those girls in line (much like their Anubis cousins).

Bloodhound Kobold

Another breed of Kobold, the Wolf family has a very acute sense of smell, Bloodhound Kobolds are bred to fine tune this sense to its greatest extent. They are often used in conjunction with, ironically enough, the Inquisition, which is one of the most ardently Anti-Monster institution of all the Order lands.

Their fine senses allow them to smell out Demonic Energy, they can even identify the exact species who is emitting the Demonic Energy. They then hunt down these Monsters for the Inquisition. They also sniff the out Demonic Energy in various cursed artifacts, which can inadvertently cause monsterization. Such artifacts when found, if destroyed release the Demonic Energy stored in them, attracting wild monsters, stirring them into a frenzy, or causing humans to fall in a state of lust, even possibly turning them into monsters or incubi. For this reason such artifacts are locked in far-away places rather than disposed of.

They also frequently used by Slavers to hunt down monsters to put on the market.

Another, more commonplace, job they are often given however is to catch runaway criminals. But it is said that occasionally, should their Master mistreat them, and the person they are chasing be kind to them, theyʼll abandon the hunt, and help the criminal on the run as their loyal hound. They are even sometimes seen as fixtures at certain royal courts, who make sure there are no poisons being used, or demonic artifacts being smuggled in. However because of their reputation for being used by such unsavory organizations like Slavers and the Inquisition, they aren't as popular as one might expect, which has the side-effect of many more Monsters and cursed objects managing to be smuggled into Human Lands.

As monsters with such a strong sense of smell, they have a fondness for certain scents, some have even been described as being connoisseurs of smells. Their favorites vary from individual to individual, but all of them enjoy and can instantly recognize the smells of their close friends and loved ones, once a Bloodhound Kobold knows your scent there is no disguise in the world that could hide you from them. But being Monsters, the scent of their Husband is their favorite in the whole world. Once theyʼve recognized a man as their Husband, they wonʼt be able to get enough of their scent. Theyʼll want to spend all their time in a room, or with an item that has their beloveds scent on it, and the stronger the smell is, the closer it is to their powerful noses, the more it will consume their thoughts, turning lewd as the vilest monsters.

Their only saving grace is that their loyalty as Kobolds helps keep them in check from randomly assaulting their Husband. Even if they are in the same room, they can keep themselves in control, but even they have their limit, should they place their nose right up against their Husband in a place where his scent is strong, or they be in a place where his scent is especially strong, such as his bed or bedroom, then she will lose all sense of composure, and break down into one of the most lust-filled monsters imaginable. Even then though, their pride as loyal Kobolds keep them from assaulting their man, instead they will open themselves up to be assaulted by their Masters instead. Of course such Monster-like behavior is very shameful to them, so when in the company of others, they maintain their distance from their Husbands to keep from being overwhelmed by such thoughts, acting very cordial and formal around them. As such, even monsters who were raised by other Humans see Bloodhound Kobolds as being very frigid, and very harsh. The truth however is that they act in such away becuase their love and lust for their Husbands is so vast they donʼt want to shame their husband by losing control of themselves in front of others.

Toy Kobold

Toy Kobolds are another breed who exist in pretty much the same capacity of a Toy Dog, meaning they keep the same shape and disposition they have when they are puppies, and never grow beyond that.

While other Kobolds are employed as maids, trackers, guardsmen and other such positions, Toy Kobolds are kept almost exclusively as pets, because of their weak strength and childish temperaments, though they can still be trained for specific duties and tasks. They are extremely popular for the children of upper-class families, but many others in society are easily subdued by their charm. Some have even said that Toy Kobolds serve as a perfect cure for loneliness, and their small size, and relatively easy maintanence means many people keep a Toy Kobold in their home.

Also Toy Kobolds are oddly prevalent in the Sabbath, believed to be because one of its Baphomet leaders is an enormous Dog Lover, and their small bodies and natural charm fit their values to a T.

Teddy Grizzly

Grizzlies seem like an odd target for domestication. Most accounts of Grizzlies depict them as a prime example of a voracious, lustful, and violent Monster. However what most people donʼt know is that Grizzlies are some of the most gentle Monsters out there, normally when a Grizzly comes upon a man or woman, or even other Monsters they wonʼt lift a finger against them, instead theyʼd prefer to simply chat, and the most amorous they get with men they meet are simple hugs of which they are quite fond. Rather than lustful, or violent, its much more accurate to say that their primary disposition is dopey, as they are slow thinkers, and have big hearts, like many Monsters, that they wear openly.

The misconception comes from the fact that theyʼre favorite snack is Alraune Nectar, and the honey made from it by Honeybees. Its aphrodisiac effects overwhelm their simple minds turning them into the archetypal Monster that most people think them to be. Even after theyʼve consumed it all and its effects are over, since they use their large paws to scoop it in their mouths, they become stained with its scent, and when they get a whiff of its smells, it sets them off just as easily.

When removed from nectar and honey however, their temperament is docile enough to pass for Human, and can be easily integrated into civilization, where they make loving wives. As such, the domestication process for the Grizzly was quickly achieved.

Teddy Grizzlies donʼt seem to have too many qualities that differentiate them from their wild counterparts, the qualities that do differ are easy to miss. For one, they are nowhere near as strong as Wild Grizzlies, lacking almost any muscle mass (though being Monsters are still stronger than the average human). Their fur tends to be better groomed, often fluffier, and will have a wider variety of fur colors, usually they have colors common to Grizzlies, brown, black, and the rare white of the Grizzlies of the North Arctic Region, but they can also come in colors like yellow, red, blue, and the distinctive black and white of the Mist Continent. And of course they retain their dopey amicable natures all the time.

Even if exposed to the aphrodisiacs of Alraune Nectar, of its Honey, which they are still instinctively drawn to, they donʼt assault men or women, but instead just press their bodies close to their loved ones, in a loving embrace, while sweet syrupy romantic thoughts cloud their minds. Because of their sweet and loving nature they are very popular pets, specifically they are often raised as pets for small children, especially amongst the upper and middle classes. Their weak minds mean they arenʼt suited for most intellectual tasks, and their weaker strength making them unattractive for hard labor. However, they are very loving towards their owners, and are still strong enough to defend themselves, which means they serve as good guardians, which makes them particularly attractive.

One drawback however is that they appear to imprint on the families that are raised by them, so they canʼt be sold as adults, Teddies view themselves as part of the family, and so once theyʼve imprinted donʼt take well to becoming a part of a new family. As such, when they are procured as pets, they are taken as cubs, and raised from an early age (There are several Teddy Grizzly companies that insures that Cubs remain in contact with their mothers, fathers, and siblings). So many wealthier families will purchase a Cub for their children to enjoy as a playmate, as well as a faithful guardian who will constantly accompany them. The Teddies will follow and play with their owner all day, and when night come, they will go into their bed to cuddle them, and warm them with their bodies, insuring a good-nights rest. They are unwavering unfaithful companions to their owner.

However, Teddies are seen as childhood companions, and when growing up their owners will begin to distance themselves from their companions, much to the Teddies dismay. The older one is, the more unfashionable it is to be seen with ones Teddy hanging onto them. As of yet there are no ʻToyʼ breeds of Teddyʼs (ironic since many children treat their Teddyʼs like another toy) since the maturity of ones Teddy doesnʼt affect whether or not their owner feels theyʼve matured past them. As such, most Teddyʼs try to take up a task for their owners to remain useful to them, so that their owners wonʼt throw them away (though only the most cruel and heartless of people have ever done this), something like acting as a servant or cook for them.

Despite however their continual un-Monster like behavior when it comes to seeking a mate, it seems for whatever reason Teddyʼs never seem to have problems when it comes to getting pregnant, and having Cubs of her own. Most people believe its because men and women can never bring themselves to abandon such a loving companion from their childhood, and if one of them were to beg for sex with the right look, then their owner would give in (in the case of women, theyʼd let their Husbands or boyfriends sate their lust and desires).

Lastly this is yet another example of a Domestic Monster that has been co-opted by the Sabbath, whose spell of pedomorphosis keeps them in the same immature forms that the rest of the Sabbath have. These immature forms that recall memories of childhood are absolutely adored by the Witches of the Sabbath.

Flavored Holstaur

An oddity among the Holstaur, but one that is increasing in popularity. Its origin is unknown, but some think that they come from a Holstaur Farm in a Monster-Friendly state, whoʼs owner experimented with the livestock, and various magical substances to create a variety of unique breeds.

The result were Holstaurs who are the exact same in temperament, but have the unique ability in that the breast milk that they produce, which is popular even amongst most Order Nations, has been given unique flavors, with the two most common being Chocolate and Strawberry.

These Flavored Holstaurs can easily be identified, in the previous example for instance, instead of their signature back and white fur color, Chocolate Holstaur either have black and brown fur, or white and brown fur, with their milk being a chocolaty brown color, while their skin color can be used to determine the exact flavor that is produced. Those with a pale white skin will produce a sweet milky chocolate flavor, while those with deep dark brown skin will produce milk with a thick dark syrupy flavor to it, and the taste fluctuates with each shade of skin in between.

Strawberry Holstaurs meanwhile have a pink and black, or pink and white color scheme to them, and tend to have a rosy complexion. Many other types of Flavored Holstaurs have been produced each with their own according peculiarities. Aside from these two breeds, there are many more out there that exist, some with a more typical flavoring, and others with something more fantastic. Farmers from around the world are often coming up with a new breed to put to market. Some say that each Flavored Holstaur also has a variety of personalities that reflect the type of milk that they produce, but this hasnʼt been observed with enough consistency to be confirmed to be true.

Flavored Holstaur are much rarer compared to common, or ʻVanillaʼ Holstaur, and as such they and their milk and milk by-products go for much higher costs. They are also strictly seen as Dairy Workers, compared to other Holstaurs who are seen working as maids, and other servant positions, due to their rarity, and the higher price their milk goes for. However amongst the wealthy elite they are sometimes kept as a status symbol, with them often buying the Holstaur of their favorite Flavor.

Oxen Holstaur

A breed similar to Wolfhound Kobold, the principle is the same, a monster with the traits of a Minotaur, specifically their strength, while maintaining the temperament of a Holstaur. The Monsters lack the unique black and white patterns of their fur, tending to more dull colors of brown, or grey. Though there is also a breed specific to the northern highlands that has long ragged red or orange hair.

Their other unique trait, being their large breasts tend to remain at about the same size, but they lack the ability to produce the same quantity of milk. As such theyʼre main purpose isnʼt typically to produce Dairy, instead they use their raw-strength in various hard-labor jobs, plowing, construction, hauling materials etc. Amongst other Holstaurs, they are respected for their strength, but since Holstaurs are so proud of their breasts, Oxen Holstaur tend to feel inferior to their ʻVanillaʼ cousins for being unable to produce the same amount of milk. Conversely among Minotaurs, they are treated as equal for their strength, but envied for the size of their breasts.

From a Humans perspective however, while typical Holstaur donʼt receive much respect, they are appreciated for their docile nature, but even though Oxen-Holstaur are almost identical to their cousins in that regards, they are treated more warily, more in the manner of a lower class laborer, because of their Monstrous Strength that could easily overpower another Human. This is also forgetting that even the weakest Holstaur is as strong as a full-grown man.

Despite this, or more accurately, because of this Oxen-Holstaur are also sometimes recruited into local militias for their strength. In fact Oxen-Holstaur are the leaders of an all Holstaur-Company that fights for the Order. Though they donʼt always see direct combat they make themselves busy providing support for other warrior bands, and moving various supplies, and the rest of the army appreciates the contributions they make.

Carrier Harpies

Harpies are another race that has adapted well to Human Society. Though they would often assault men they came across when they went into heat, otherwise they were perfectly amicable. Unlike so many other monsters whose lives are just fighting and having sex, most Harpies liked to busy themselves, particularly with carrying letters and packages to faraway places, sating their desire to see new places, and earning their communities some money, not to mention for many finding a potential husband, which is said to be the greatest motivator for Monsters.

As such, the sub-species commonly referred to as Carrier Harpies was the rare result of a breeding program amongst Monsters themselves, as opposed to Humans. Harpies couldnʼt afford to do business during Mating Season, either because they were searching for a Husband if they were single, or too busy spending time with Husband if they were married. Not to mention the many cases of rape and kidnapping discouraged many customers Human and Monster from doing business with them (Monsters for fear that the Harpies would serve as competition for Men, and Humans for obvious reasons).

So various Harpy shipping communities actually took itself upon them to breed out their aggressive tendencies. The result were the Carrier Harpies, identified by their dull gray plumage. These Harpies donʼt go into heat like most Harpies do which means they can deliver postage year-round. They possess the same innate sense of direction that most Harpies have, but through training theyʼve fine-tuned it to a greater degree, which alongside their ability to memorize and remember places makes them that much more suited to their positions. Its said that a Carrier Harpy will always be able to find their way home (or to the location of their Husband) from any place in the world. Their disposition is friendly like most Harpies and people donʼt view them as being particularly strong or violent, so they get along well with Humans. But they are still Monsters, and are desperate to find a man to be their Husband, and have their own means of procuring them.

Like other Harpies, they enjoy traveling the world but, despite their typically shy demeanor, they enjoy seeing different kinds of people, which also lends itself to their occupation as postal workers. When they see a man they like during their rounds, they will go to their superiors and request more regular deliveries in that mans neighborhood, and later to deliver all the packages to that man and his family. Their superiors usually accommodate these requests. Eventually once the Harpy has gotten acquainted enough with the man they like, they go up to the man and confess their love. In this way they court men in the same way as Humans do, perhaps of the frequent contact they have with their culture. In recent years, these Harpies have begun taking a different approach to their confession of love. Some have found themselves too shy to start a conversation with the man they desire. So what they do is they compose a letter containing all their feelings, and deliver it to the man they like. This ʻlove letterʼ method has become very popular among Harpies, and the practice has even spread to other Monster Species.

In addition, while its true that Carrier Harpies donʼt go into heat, most of them live in communities of other Harpies, and when mating season comes, their friends and coworkers sequester themselves with their Husbands, making them rather jealous, and despite any efforts their heads will become filled with lewd thoughts. They still manage to power through to continue their job, even if they are married. A married Carrier Harpy might even try to specifically work during mating season to get other days off. However at this time while they are busy delivering packages, and flying to various far-off places their thoughts would be only those of their beloved Husband, and they will rush to finish their jobs, and fly back to their Husbands to make love to them.

Carrier Harpies arenʼt only used by the Harpy shipping companies, they deliver mail for all kind of societies, Demon Realms, Order Nation, Monster Friendly States, tribal societies, they have even made their way into the Desert Region, Zipangu, and the Mist Continent. Various people or companies keep them for their postal services, nobles, mercenary bands, scholarly circles, etc. they are also often used as guides because of their fine-tuned sense of direction by these same groups, and are sometimes kept as pets/personal messengers, and they are dispersed amongst Harpy communities around the world.

Canary Harpies

A brightly plumed Harpy, most commonly seen in yellow, these Harpies are a rare breed, with shorter wings that only let them fly for short distances. They have a natural talent for singing that is a level above most of their species, and for this reason they are kept as pets, or as performers amongst Humans.

They also have an odd ability to sense ambient Demonic Energy in the surrounding areas. Normally they are very docile, and if they go after a man, typically they simply try to charm him with her voice or use normal courting methods. Even when married they treat their Husbands with respect and restraint. Should enough Demonic Energy accumulate however, in the case of too many Monsters in the area, or a plot by the Radical Faction, then Canary Harpies will shed this modest behavior, and begin acting like typical Monsters, going crazed with lust. As such, some use Canary Harpies as an early-warning system for when a realm might be transformed into a Demon Realm, specifically a Dark Demon Realm, as opposed to a Bright Green Demon Realm, where no change is noted.

While originally kept by the elite, valued for their bright colors and elegant singing voice, they have begun spreading into other communities, those of the Magitec Institute have studied them for their experiments, some have been reintegrated into wild Harpy flocks, and others still have wormed their way into the homes of middle and lower-class families.

Harpy Hens

A flightless variety of Harpy also sometimes referred to as Poultry Harpies, their feathers tend to be a variety of white, brown or grey. They are kept by Human farmers much like Holstaur and Weresheep for their ability to lay many clutches of eggs for consumption.

Their wings are much shorter than most Harpies, with their bodies having been said to have too much ʻmeatʼ on them, being much plumper and curvier compared to most of their cousins, meaning they cannot attain true flight, and at best can jump and flap their wings to move short distances. They also lack any strength or aggression, even their talons are too dull to cause any real damage. As such, while they are perfectly docile and subservient, they are also completely defenseless, and are extremely weak and cowardly. Many wild Monster in fact delight in assaulting these cowardly, almost Human-like girls, lavisciously taking pleasure in tormenting them As such, often a stronger Domestic Mamano is often kept to help defend them on farms that are near areas that have Wild Monsters in them.

While their main purpose is to lay several eggs, though sometimes their feathers are collected and sold as novelties, many farmers give them small odd jobs to occupy them as well, cleaning, or seeding, busywork like that, as the Hens are very dutiful in their chores, rising very early in the morning and working until dusk, even though they arenʼt competent in many areas. Many ʻFarm-Mamanoʼ are de-facto polygamous since those families who keep and rear them donʼt want to waste men (typically farmhands) as their husbands, so most Monsters who live on a farm or plantation share Husbands between them. Hens especially however seem to claim men in groups, perhaps because they feel safer when in numbers, typically forming groups of five or six around a single man.

It should also be noted that despite their fame for being timid, and weak, they can be very ferocious when cornered, especially if it is their friends or Husbands are in danger. There is even a story that a Hen and a Cockatrice once got into a fight when the Cockactrice went after the Hens Husband, and the Hen fought so ferociously that to this day that a Cockatrice will freeze in panic if she hears a Hens crow.

Also, when it comes to the eggs they lay, those sold for eating are unfertilized, and wonʼt result in a child, they are much smaller in size than those eggs that are fertilized, able to fit in the size of ones hand, while fertilized eggs are closer to the size of a Human newborn. When a fertilized egg is lain, then the entire flock will take turns incubating it until it hatches. Chicks are even sometimes kept as pets by chilren who live on farms.

Black Weresheep

A mutational variety of a Domesticatd Mamano, rather than its own breed. Black Weresheep are noted for the dark color of their wool, and their reversed temperaments. Aside from the color of their skin and wool, they are identical to other Weresheep when it comes to their body and appearance. But when it comes to personalities, they are complete opposites.

Normally a Weresheep is viewed as the model of behavior. Docile at all times, even around the man she has deemed as her Husband. Even though compared to other Domestic Mamano they donʼt usually contribute much to communities besides the sale of their wool, they are well respected by Humans. This is because of the qualities of the wool they wear, which keeps them in a state of half-asleepness. As anyone who has had to shear a Weresheep can testify, once removed of their wool they are just as ferocious as any other Monster.

Related to this, Black Weresheep, rarely born to a flock of Weresheep, have wild, ferocious and lustful temperaments. They think and act just like wild Monsters. As such compared to other Domestic Mamano who pride themselves in acting in accordance with Human Culture, they are shunned and treated as outcasts.

However Weresheep in general have a built-in need to fit into the flock (which can be large, small, filled with fellow Weresheep, other monsters, or Humans and Demihumans) and this prevents them from simply up and vanishing into the wilds, and even keeps them nominally in line, meaning they wonʼt up and rape men or women to get what they want. For this reason they are tolerated by Humans who keep and raise them. In fact despite their seemingly shallow and laviscious personalities, what Black Weresheep want more desperately than anything else is to fit in and be accepted for who they are. In this way however they are even more desperate for a man than most, because they want a mans love to make them feel at peace. When they obtain a friend or a Husband who treats them in such a manner they are actually incredibly loyal and faithful to them, and even if they constantly beg for sex, will be patient with them, and do their best to pamper them.

Additionally, when it comes to shearing time, their personalities, like common Weresheep take a 180. Instead of acting like lewd monsters, their personality takes several steps back, they no longer act as confidant as forward as they would normally. Instead they act timid, sweet, and shy, almost like a typical Weresheep would with their wool on. They are content to simply lean into the embrace of those they are close to, holding them tightly, and smiling at them sweetly.

Its believed that the root of this like with your average Weresheep, is due to their wool, which has an unusually large concentration of Demonic Energy in it. When surrounded by their wool that holds so much Demonic Energy, they canʼt help but swell up with lust and lewd thoughts, acting like the lowliest of Monsters. But when removed from its influence they return to the same levels that most Monsters are at, and to them it is so low that it sends them into a calm relaxed state. Having said that though, that doesnʼt mean they stop being lust-filled beasts, its just that removed from the influence of their wool, it is a state where they can easily control themselves, so their thoughts become sweeter and more romantic.

As for the wool itself, because of its unique properties and color, and its rarity compared to regular Weresheep Wool it sells for much more, which is another reason why Black Weresheep are still kept. Its properties include the ability to cause erotic dreams when made into pajamaʼs, beds, and other similar items, which makes it very popular amongst monsters of all kinds. Part of a Monsters instincts means she canʼt entertain thoughts of another man even in her dreams, so nobody has anything to worry about. Amongst humans, its valued for experimentation amongst scholars, and can be treated (disenchanted) to act more like typical Weresheep Wool. This treated Wool wonʼt give you erotic dreams, but instead give you dreams of a romantic nature which gives it a market amongst Human demographics. Keep in mind however that like typical Weresheep Wool it can easily be cursed to cause Monsterization in Humans in a number of ways, and many Monsters of the Radical faction use it in that way seeding it throughout Human markets.

Dairy Weresheep

A specific breed of Weresheep, which was made with poorer farms in mind, they are meant to fulfill the roles of both traditional Weresheep, and Holstaurs. Their wool doesnʼt have any major differences than regular Weresheep Wool, but they have large breasts much like Holstaurs that has the same capacity to produce milk.

Their inclusion helps many poor farms who can only afford a single Monster Girl, as they can produce two valuable commodities on their own. As such they are common sights on poorer farms. Their milk however, while it has several of the same traits of Holstaur Milk, is not quite to the same quality or quantity, and it doesnʼt sell quite as well, though it has garnered its own niche market. The milk of Dairy Weresheep has different qualities to it than Holsatur milk, so it lends itself to byproducts like cheese, butter, and yogurt. Additionally the ʻextra-thickʼ variety that is milked during sex has the same ability to cause Monsterization on the drinker, usually into either a Weresheep, or Dairy Wersheep.

Their temperaments to Weresheep and Holstaur are basically the same. They are sleepy when their coats are full, but are less aggressive to when shorn compared to other Weresheep, and act more like Holstaur that are ʻin the moodʼ. For being a Monster that has the infamous breasts of Holstaurs without being a Holstauar themselves they are naturally envied by others. Research has begun to see whether other ʻDairyʼ subspecies can be produced.

Domestic Orcs

Another example of what seemed an odd choice for Domestication. Orcs are some of the most common Monsters to raid Human settlements, and despite becoming an all-female race like all other Monsters, were still cruel and sadistic with their treatment of Humans. As such it would seem that Orcs would be the last species of Monster that could be domesticated.

However there are a few factors that made their Domestication possible. For one Orcs are fundamentally polygamous, sharing a male between the entire pack. They are also contrary to many beliefs a variety of Beastmen, specifically related to Pigs or Boars, so their animalistic tendencies lend themselves to Domestication. Orcs also arenʼt as strong as they are made out to be, with average strength comparable to Humans, modern Orcs rely on numbers and dirty tactics to win in fights. Lastly, the Orc species have a built in instinctual nature of weakness and strength. If an Orc has been defeated someone, then they will swear complete subservience and loyalty to them. Even a wild Orc in this case would serve as an ideal model of behavior.

Thusly after some concentrated efforts by various adventurers who had tamed their own packs of Orcs, even without any of the data from the Magitec Institute, Domestic Orcs were bred. Domestic Orcs donʼt differ much, or at all in appearance with their wild varieties. Their differences come in their temperament. They are raised to view all Humans as being superior to them, and so will take directions from them without question, though they are also taught to put preference to the commands of their owners. As such, they arenʼt violent, and wonʼt assault men. In fact, they are actually incredibly cowardly, if someone were to attack theyʼd flee in panic, so they are actually completely useless as warriors or guards.

Aside from that, they are still rather lewd, but do to their submissiveness this doesnʼt show when around Humans, and instead extends itself to fellow Monster Girls they work with which causes most other Domestic Monsters to look down on them. They are also still rather sadistic, and can act as bullies towards the coworkers. Despite that, they tend to recognize the other Monsters they work with as fellow-pack members, so they never go too far, and still treat them like friends. But despite the domestication process, they also have their sly nature, and can be great trouble-makers, getting into places they shouldnʼt, messing with fellow-monsters, and so on. If their owners forbid them from doing so then the Orcs will take the instructions to heart, but it is their nature to cause trouble, and will not hesitate from doing something unless it is expressly forbidden, and donʼt shy away from working around the rules.

Because of these many drawbacks, Domestic Orcs are used almost exclusively as manual laborers. They are seen as field hands, dock-workers, miners, construction workers, etc. Orcs can become very skilled in their area of work over time, working as units to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. Sometimes however they are used as servants or maids, though they arenʼt popular choices. Domestic Orcs do however have a proficiency in hunting small game, and with foraging, and so are seen in those fields as well. So in fact despite their drawbacks they are seen in a wide variety of areas, trade of Domestic Orcs has even extended to the far-off Mist Continent.

When it comes to procuring Husbands, they prefer to act in groups, aggressively flirting and trying to seduce the man they have singled out. Their goal is to get the man to unleash his lust on them, and rape them, rather than rape the man themselves like wild Orcs. Because of their willingness to debase themselves, their willingness to work in groups, their slavish submissiveness, and their lewd natures, they tend to be quite successful. When theyʼve acquired a Husband they act much like wild Orcs who have been tamed by their Husbands, acting like slaves to their man, his word becomes their law, taking precedence over anything else in their lives. As such, its not uncommon should a farmhand attract a pack of Orcs for the attention to go to his head, and for him to run away with his harem for a life of adventure or banditry (usually to little success).

Silver Kitsune

A domestication effort by the Scholars of the North Arctic Kingdoms based on the results of the Magitec Institute. The Scholars of this reason have some of the fiercest fighting of the Order Nations against Monsters, and so were quite interested in efforts of the Magitec Domestication program. In fact there are already many other Domestic Mamano that have already wormed their way into Human Communities of the region.

Rather, however, than try to domesticate a local variety of Monster, they decided to begin their efforts by importing Inari from Zipangu. Their reasoning was that the Monsters native to their region were too aggressive and powerful to try to domesticate right away. Instead as a proof of concept, they decided to try to domesticate a monster that was already more docile. Also in order to have more control over the project, they decided to import from abroad.

So the Inari were a natural choice to start, renowned for their graceful nature. One might think though, why an Inari would need Domestication since they never assault men or women, and act in almost perfect accordance with Human society. Of course for such Order dominated nations it is not enough for a Monster to simply coexist peacefully with Humans, they must also be subservient to them, and serve a use. Despite this rather prejudicial view however, all of the Inari used in the project were volunteers, more than happy to act subservient to Humans, considering that they not only got free passage to a new land, but were also granted a Husband as part of the program. In fact, the rate of volunteers has led others to consider other Domestication programs wherein wild Monsters are voluntarily recruited with the prospect of Husbands, rather than forcibly captured (as Monsters are willing to do almost anything for the sake of a Husband).

While the program was slower than others since Inari have typical fertility and maturation rates for most Monsters (meaning long gaps between generations, and low birth rates) in addition to being less-inclined to share breeding stock between them, at the same time their docile nature removed many barriers to Domestication.

The end of the program was still ultimately a success. The resulting Kitsune that bred retained their graceful nature, but consider themselves as subordinates to Humans, rather than their equals, and are eager to provide their services to them. Their temperaments lie somewhere between that of typical Inari, and the Kikimora. Additionally, an unintentional mutational side-effect is that the complexion of the Kitsune matched that of the native peoples of the region, and their hair took a silvery grey color to it in all the subjects, as well as becoming thicker so as to better deal with the cold climate.

These ʻSilver Kitsuneʼ as they have been done have proven very popular servants, maids, care-givers, etc. in the North Arctic Region, finding themselves completely at home in Human towns and settlements, some have even migrated back to Zipangu.

One thing to note however is that those behind the Domestication project were unaware that Inari have the ability to store and release vast amounts of Demonic Energy, they thought of Inari as simply another type of Beastmen. As such, the Silver Kitsune never had this ability addressed in the project, and they retain this ability to this day. Most of the Silver Kitsune are actually unaware they possess this ability, as they rarely use it in their day-to-day life, and this ignorance is passed from mother to daughter. Most would only remain unaware of this ability until they procure a Husband, or unless they encounter an enormous amount of Demonic Energy. If a Silver Kitsune develops an extra tail, its dismissed as a simple mutation, rather than an indicator of her power. Though an appearance of the legendary ʻkyubi-no-kitsuneʼ in the region has yet to appear, so it seems most of the Humans of the region who keep Silver Kitsune are also unaware of this happening, as well as the potential consequences.

Potted Alraunes

A popular Domestic Mamano amongst gardeners, but otherwise it only has niche-uses. As the name suggests, these are plant-type monsters who are kept domestically, often in pots, though they are just as often kept in plots of earth. In this way they can survive in an indoors environment unlike most plant-type monsters, so long as they can get enough sun and water. And of course not only that, but with all other Domestic Monsters, they donʼt try to rape men, and donʼt emit pheromones to lure in men for them to seduce. Most breeds also have more vegetation covering the parts of their body most Humans would consider scandalous to show.

These Mamano still produce an Alrauneʼs famous nectar which sells well, and makes excellent sweets, but perhaps because they donʼt emit as much Demonic Energy from the lack of sexual activity, it tends to be produced in smaller amounts that some feel isnʼt as a sweet, but it also lacks its aphrodisiacal effects which suits most Humans just fine.

However Potted Alraunes arenʼt just kept for their nectar. Being plant-type monsters, its found they can raise flowers and other plants very well, so many keep them either as gardeners, or as assistant gardeners, its even said that their mere presence improves the quality of a garden.

Some people even keep them around in their homes for the scents they emit, still being part-flower, which is sweet and aromatic. Aside from that some people keep them for small tasks. They are limited in usefulness because of their lack of mobility. In emergencies, they can uproot themselves to move, even if they have been kept in a pot, but this tires them, and they prefer to stay in the same place whenever possible.

The Potted Alraunes themselves are usually content in their peaceful day-to-day life. One quirk they seem to exhibit is that when kept in a pot, they enjoy decorating it, acquiring a set of paints if possible to pretty it up, and to help them seem more attractive.

Many Gardeners and Scholars have produced a wide variety of Potted Alraune breeds, altering the shade of their skin, the color of their petals, the scent they give off, their size, even the flavor of their nectar. Some have even gathered in conventions to show off their particular breed to other Alraune keepers.
