In the current age, the Demon Lord has tried to model Monster Society on that of the Gods-Worshipping Races they pillage for Husbands and breeding stock. It is said she has quite the fascination and admiration for Human and Demihuman culture, however she also recognizes how the advances they have made have moved their society forward, making it more stable and prosperous. As such, she has moved her domain from a savage barbarian horde into a more modern state. These changes include opening diplomatic relations to their neighbors, and friendly states, reforming the Monstrous Horde into a more disciplined and organized army, establishing infrastructure, and perhaps the biggest reform of all; Education.
Most of those in the Order paint monsters as uncultured, ignorant, and stupid. However more objective observation reveals the various monsters have a wide capacity for learning, some are generally less intelligent than Humans, around the same, or even vastly superior, with outliers in all groups. However knowledge is just as important to Monsters as any other group in the world, at least in this era. Various tribes pass down the skills necessary to survive, but the Demon Lord has aimed above and beyond the systems of the Order lands.
Most countries employ a university system, where scholars, priests, and the children of the wealthy go to vast centers of learning to receive an education of all kinds. The Demon Lord however, caring for all her subjects has tried to make education and learning, in line with civilizing Monsters, available for all. While not compulsory, all schools are paid for by the state, as opposed to most countries where schools must pay for their own supplies through tuition fees. As such, the Royal Makai has some of the most readily available education in the world, and many vassal states to the Royal Makai and other Demon Realms are trying to model similar systems for themselves.
As such, almost every monster in the Demon Realm receives a basic education. Some Monsters choose not to partake, preferring to raise their children themselves in the way of their foremothers. However one factor makes education vastly preferred amongst Monster Couples. It serves as a place for them to send their daughters, while the mothers can bathe the fathers in their affection. But aside from this, education is also seen as a worthwhile investment to grabbing a Husband. They teach what are considered the Three Essential Skills for Wives. Cooking, Cleaning (including amongst other duties like maintaining sister wives) and Fighting. Sex is often included as a Fourth skill, but usually included as a given. The Demon Lord has argued, successfully, that a smart monster is more likely to grab a Husband than a dumb one. Basic skills like math, reading, cooking, and fighting make oneself more attractive a marriage candidate. And so enrollments rates are exceedingly high. As such, the modern stereotype of Monsters as uncultured, ignorant, and stupid is wildly inaccurate, at least towards those within the developed Royal Makai and the surrounding lands.

Elementary Education
The first rung on the ladder of learning for Monsters. These schools take in the young children of the Demon Realm, taking them in from when they first learn to walk as a daycare service for busy Monster couples, teaching the young girls in the values of Love and Sex intrinsic to Monsterkind. When they reach the age of young children, around 5-6 equivalent in Humans, they start receiving mandatory classes in Math, Literature, History and Philosophy, and Gym, which encompasses exercises to maintain beauty, attacking opponents for rape, defending against other monsters who will attack your future husband, and honing various sexual techniques.
After a few years of that, Monster Girls may then choose various electives, such as cooking, etiquette, hunting, and so on, skills either to better attract a Husband, or take care of him once acquired, as well as a few for the personal interest of the Monster.
Graduation occurs when a young Monster girl reaches the age for puberty. At that point her beauty has ripened enough for her to go out into the world to seek a Man should she choose so. Many go this route, but many other monsters choose to go to a secondary education to further hone their skills. It should be noted however that while many girls immediately go into secondary schooling before seeking a Husband, many older Monsters also choose to go to secondary schooling. Either to pick up more skills for their husband, or as a hobby, or they have yet to acquire a Husband and feel they need to hone their talents accordingly.
Trade Guilds
Along with Education, the Demon Lord has fostered the growth of various Guilds across her realms. These Guilds will take on other Monsters as apprentices, teaching them in various arts, woodworking, tanning, smithing etc. that are necessary for their society. These apprentices are paid for their work at a lower rate until they have mastered their skills, and given a license by the Guild to operate. While not exactly glamorous, they are necessary to function in society, and Master Craftsmen are well respected by other Monsters, and paid well. As such, while many Monsters care little for wealth, it’s an attractive option as a source of income. Many Monsters learn under the Masters here because they admire the crafts, choosing to make their hobby into a career.
Military College
One of the most popular forms of Secondary Education in the Demon Realm. Several races admire martial strength, and the Monstrous Horde is one of the easiest ways to acquire a Husband. As it focuses on one of the Three Essential Skills for wives, Fighting, enrollment is high.
The stronger and more well trained a Monster, the easier it is to subdue and capture a Husband, and fight off competition. Additionally many monsters view Humans as inherently weak. An understandable notion given how most monsters are inherently stronger than Humans. And so it is a widely accepted idea that a wife should act as a bodyguard for her Husband. The majority of Monsters who join the Monstrous Horde to obtain Husbands however don’t put too much effort into training, but Military Colleges remain popular amongst those Monsters who respect and admire Martial Training. As such the student body ranges wildly from those who seek to master their martial skills, and those who feel the need to simply brush up on the basics, or perhaps as a way to refine their figure with the proper amount of exercise.
All arms are practiced, from swords, bows, and lances. Thanks to the Cultural Exchange Program there are even several Teachers, or Sensei’s from the Zipangu region, as well as the Mist Continent, willing to teach Monsters their unique ways of fighting.
The Military Colleges also serve not only to strengthen the body, but the mind as well. Those who are inclined pore over tomes of strategy, learning the art of war. They serve as a think-tank amongst the various Generals, formulating tactics and strategies to seize men, defend from the Order, and invade various Anti-Monster states. Thanks to the work done here the Monstrous Horde has had many more successes on the field of battle than failures.
Maid Academies
The standard place to go for aspiring servants. Many, if not most Monsters are of a submissive nature. While they may not be inclined become Maids per-se, many choosing to become submissive spouses or slaves, the Maid Academies teach all three of the Essential Skills for Wives. Cooking, Cleaning, and Fighting.
Maids are considered differently by Monsters than most others. Most view maids as simply another type of Servant. However thanks to various cross-pollination of ideas only capable in the Demon Realm, Maids are seen as exemplifying the best qualities of any kind of servant. They are unquestioningly loyal, dutiful, obedient, submissive, and skilled. Calling oneself a Maid is needed to be earned. Maids are admired by almost every class of Monster.
Maids are taught how to cook for their Masters, clean and organize their homes and their affairs. How to attend to their duties regally, and with a characteristic Monstrous sexual flair. In addition, the school attempts to cultivate a variety of Maids. From those who wear the custom black and white outfits with lace seen throughout the Order Nations, to the white linens and gold of the Desert Continent, and those who wear silk robes seen in Zipangu and the Mist Continent. There are even various classes for ‘Butlers’ female Monsters taking a more masculine role in charge of various Maids.
In addendum to this, there exists a curious quirk amongst the Maid Academies. Somehow amidst the extensive Cultural Exchange Program with Zipangu, a series of Ninja’s, specifically Shinobi were somehow enrolled as Maid Sensei’s. How this mistake was made is unknown, the most plausible explanation being a mixup in paperwork. However despite this, surprisingly the aims and morals of the Ninjas lined up perfectly with that of the Maids they were teaching, so well it is thought that none of the Ninja’s or Maids were made aware there was an error until much later. As such all the aspiring Maids who come through here are taught the ways of the Shinobi, how to stealthily hide in plain sight, assist their Masters discreetly, dispose of threats unseen, and to defend their Masters against surprise attacks. Many Humans who employ graduates of Maid Academies are unaware of these skills when they purchase their services, and due to the grace and stealth by which the students use these skills they tend to remain unaware. However they tend to notice how things tend to go much smoother in the presence of their Maid, even if they don’t know why, so Mamano Maids are seen by almost all as good-luck charms, and are very popular, even in relatively Anti-Monster states.
As such, Maid Academies are by far the most popular curriculum for Monsters around the world, with Campuses in Monster-Friendly States, including Zipangu, where the local lords are almost obsessed with Maids.
Secretary School
While labeled as a Secretary School, these in fact form the core of the Business Sector for the Demon Realm. The curriculum here goes into the latest studies of economics and market theory, specializing entirely on business. While initially a curiosity amongst Monsters who strive forever towards attaining a Husband, the logic is indeed typical. While most Monsters are ambivalent towards wealth, they also know how Humans and Demihumans are invariably attracted to it. By generating enough income, it is believed, one can attract Men much more efficiently than the standard methods of seduction and rape.
While most Monsters have trouble wrapping their heads around this idea, the students who learn from here are experts at their craft. They garb themselves in clothes meant to emphasize their strictness and officiality of their profession, while also, as per tradition, enhancing their Monstrous Beauty. Short haircuts and glasses, even ones purely for aesthetic reasons are popular.
Once they have earned their Secretary degree, these monsters venture into the business world in search of Wealth and Husbands. Some look for a mate immediately so they can start a fortune with him, and bathe and pamper him in wealth and excess. Others instead try forming a mass of wealth first to entice potential husbands with later.
Once they’ve obtained a Husband, these girls may take a dominant or submissive stance in the relationship. But typically in terms of money, they are always the brains of the situation. While their husband may a mind for business themselves, sometimes but statistically unlikely, it is the Secretary who implements these ideas and allows them to succeed.
Thanks to this drive, the Demon Realms have way more economic strength than they would otherwise. Comparatively the economy of the Order Nations is subject to little scrutiny and innovation, leading the motivated business class of the Demon Realms to make much more wealth off of much less than in the Order.
Culinary Schools
One of the most popular schools, and certainly the most popular amongst Monsters who have already acquired a Husband. Cooking is considered one of the Three Essential Skills for Monster Wives after all. Therefore it makes sense that a school dedicated to cooking is so popular. Thanks to the Cultural Exchange Program, cooking from around the world is taught here. In fact the Cultural Exchange Program is necessary for the Culinary Schools existence, as cooking that was more complex than cooking meat over a fire was non-existent when the Demon Lord took over. As such cooking techniques from the many cultures of the Order Nations, to across the Ocean are taught here. As a consequence many beasts, spices and plants have been brought over to the Royal Makai and traded throughout the Demon Realms for those couples who enjoy meals using foreign ingredients, which nowadays includes almost everything on a given menu.
The curriculum here varies from courses over specific styles of cooking, recipes using various types of ingredients, or courses designed to teach Monster Girls the way to cook a single dish. As such many Monsters drop by as part-time students rather than becoming fully-enrolled.
Arc Institutes
What art is churned out by Monsters is often scoffed at by the Order as being crude, vulgar, and commercial. However within the Royal Makai exists a thriving art-scene. Taking inspiration from classical Human Artists, and various fetishistic rituals concocted by Monsters of the last era, and adding modern Monster values, artists make a decent wage, and produce works looked over and judged by the upper and lower classes alike.
Art in the Demon Realm is split into two categories. Love, and Non-Love. Love deals with subjects of friends, family, and sex. Typically portraits or depictions of lewd acts. Non-Love includes paintings of landscapes, still-lifes, historical events, abstract art, and the like. Monster Couples looking to spruce up their dwelling often purchase paintings from the many artists who study here. Most students and professional artists work on commision, painting or sculpting on request. Non-Love subjects are popular, but almost every Monster desires a painting of their Husband, or their Daughters.
One note of interest is that there exists an unspoken rule amongst Monster painters and sculptors to never portray a male face. The reason for this is due to the simplicity of Monster Hearts. Monsters are apt to fall in love with any man they spend a decent amount of time with. And once a Monster has settled on a man, there is nothing that can change their minds. So hopeless are there hearts, that should a Monster spend a good deal with even a depiction of a Man, then they fall for him, and become despondent, reclusive and isolated, preferring to stay inside, and only spend time with their ‘Husbando’ (a loan word from Zipangu). These girls can be shaken from their hopeless state, but only through acquiring a flesh-and-blood Husband for themselves, which in the Demon Realm, where the available male population is non-existent, is very difficult. As such artists only depict male faces if they are doing so for a private family piece. If such art is displayed publicly, many laws insist the male face be censored. Curiously every other part of the male anatomy is free game however, not causing Monsters to all in love with a 2D image, or 3D sculpture. Instead it serves to incite their lusts, but no more so than is typical for Monsters.
Etiquette Classes
Amongst methods to acquire a man, one is specialization. Monsters are aware of Men's various fetishes, and in fact revere them. And for Monsters, what kind of man is taken as a husband is irrelevant compared to having one or not. So for a Monster to specialize in a particular fetish to acquire a particular man, say that of a haughty noble, or a demure mother figure, is considered a valid tactic to seduce a husband.
Of course however deep within the Demon Realms, most Monsters are unaware of Human and Demihuman culture, and what types of personalities would attract a man (hence some propose their proclivity to brute force and rape). Originally classes that were designed to educate young Monsters on the ways of the Gods-Worshipping Races culture, they very quickly devolved into classes meant to teach Monsters how to compose themselves towards and emulatecertain personalities and archetypes so as to seduce men with proclivity to said personalities and archetypes. While largely meant to aid with seduction, the students of these classes can't be accused of taking to the roles half-heartedly, the teachers and proffessors live and breathe their roles, and expect nothing less than perfection from their student body. So thorough is the curriculum, and impassioned the lessons, one of the densist Hobgoblins could enroll in classes in the ways of intelligent scholars, and give so convincing a performance that one would think she must be the head of academia, despite not knowing the answers to basic math questions.
This is because for Monsters nothing is more important than acquiring a Husband. And since they believe that taking on these persona's will help them in that goal, they through themselves wholeheartedly into the lessons, so much so that it stops becoming an act, and becomes their dominant personality.
Etiquette Classes are especially popular amongst the Monster Elite, who wish to train their daughters how to behave in the Noble Tradition, a very new tradition that the elite is currently trying to prop up.
Magic Universities
Places of learning for the magically inclined. While the Sabbath owns and operates many of their own Magic Academies, there are many Monsters put off by their Loli Supremacy nature, and so tend towards a more secular education for their needs.
Magic is studied and experimented with here. It works in much the same way as the Magitec Institute, its foundation was in fact thanks to many Monsterized Magitec members. The difference being however they lack both the vast resources and wealth of knowledge available to the Magitec institute, but also the Morals of the Order imposed upon their study. The Demon Lord advocates every avenue of Magical Research, so long as it is not solely for the suffering of others. As such the Magic Universities have branched off into different directions, studying the nature of Demonic Energy and the divine, and of course looking into various forms of sexual magic and alchemy. Many breakthroughs have occurred throughout these various halls.
The uniforms used by the student body here are also popular fashion items amongst Monster Magic users, and can be seen to have some slight influence on the fashion of Mages in the Order Lands. Uniforms of all kind however are easily fetishized by Monsters, with a large culture surrounding them, so this should not be too surprising.
Architecture Firms
One matter of logistics when it comes to the Demon Lords attempts to modernize the lands under her control has been Architecture. What previously had only been wasteland and ruin, has become thriving metropolitan centers, developed rural agricultural zones, well-maintained roads and infrastructure, and the like. In order to accomplish this, Monsters had to learn how to build, a trait lost on most previously, save for many ramshackle, if large and impressive, constructions made previously.
Studying the techniques of the ancients as well those of the Order Nations, the architecture employs a rich variety of styles and techniques, though tending to what has often been described as imposing ‘Gothic’ architecture, which now seems to be the default style.
The Architects who have built the Demon Realms into what they are today range from strong and imposing, those who move materials and do the physical building, to various masterminds who draw the plans for what buildings are to be built. The cities are centrally planned, making travel between them and within them easy, and lacking congestion. Public works are often paid for by various Feudal Lords and the Demon Lord herself.
But even ignoring these wondrous accomplishments, architects are in constant need to various logistical problems faced by the Demon Realms. They are havens for Monsters around the world after all. The population is varied, with different body-types and different needs that require accommodation. These Monsters coming across the world often desire homes that remind them of their homeland. As such, not only is almost every house unique in regards to it’s layout being designed specifically with its inhabitants in mind, but they are also made according to completely different designs. Most Cities have different districts for the various cultures of Monsters that come here, but the styles of the buildings can reign from simple tribal dwellings, vine-covered ivory ruins, the opulent Pyramid and Temple complexes of the Desert Continent, or the wooden buildings of Zipangu and the Mist Continent.
Additionally, due to the nature of Monsters, all of these buildings are designed to last. The philosophy for the builders is to get it right the first time. Nobody wants to be bothered with constant maintenance of a building, the architects would rather take more time in the beginning than have to be summoned back for maintenance.
The Writing League
While thought of as only being pleasure seeking hedonists, which is not an unfair accusation, Monsters still enjoy tranquil moments wherein they seek entertainment. In the Demon Realm exist playhouses, traveling circuses, exotic eateries, and art galleries that couples spend time with. In fact the entertainment districts in the Demon Realms cities are enormous as Monsters embraced the custom of ‘Date Nights’ from Human cultures with gusto.
But in addition to this, Monsters enjoy the story-telling tradition just as much as Humans and Demihumans. Of course, as to be expected the stories Monsters tell do tend to be of a bawdier and lewder nature. But there is some nuance to be explored.
Before the Demon Lord took over, each tribe of Monster did have their own stories they told. However they were traditionally about the wholesale slaughter of humans and reveling in death and destruction. Naturally when the current Demon Lord imposed her morals on Monsterkind they quickly shied away from such stories. Instead, like the Demon Lord, they looked to cultures around the world, picking and choosing certain aspects to build a new society on. As such Monster Society is well versed in the classic tales and epics of the rest of the World, and primarily with the cultures within the Order. However many of these stories are about the killings of evil unredeemable Monsters, and so these don’t hold much sway over the population in the Demon Realms.
As such, many Monsters became aspiring Monsters seeking to create their own stories for their people to enjoy that exalted their morals and values. Lacking a serious writing tradition up until the point, they borrowed extremely upon the stories of Old Monsters and the Order that they had been reading up until that point, taking whole-cloth settings, themes and characters from these stories, but rewriting them to fit the model of Monster Love, with stories that had Orc Warchiefs making slaves of the Men they originally slaughtered, or making the Dragons vanquished by might hero’s into submissive wives for them, and almost every tragedy was written to have a happy ending. This method of writing swiftly took off, as many Monsters knew the characters and settings, but vastly preferred the new outcomes, and the plethora of sex scenes added. Fledgling Monster Society embraced these stories for teaching and spreading good Monster Values.
This newly formed writing tradition has continued to this day. As such, Authors freely take characters, settings, or rules from other works and use them in their own stories, everything is considered fair-game. Works of fiction (and several works of nonfiction) from Order lands are also read and disseminated amongst members of the Writing League, descended from the first authors in the Modern Demon Realm, and effectively rewritten into Monster Propaganda before being absorbed by the public. While the Demon Lord does not impose censorship upon written works like the Order does, most of the works from the Order are ignored for their rewritten counterparts.
Within the Order many scholars go through these works, and critique them as derivative and shallow. Plots typically have little coherence, and the characters are all bland so the audience of Monster Girls can impose themselves on the female characters, and their Husband, or their imagined husband as the male characters. Mamano Authors however brush off these complaints, with their fiction being read all over. There are even some feuds and rivalries between Human authors who feel their work is plagiarized by the Demon realm, and Mamano authors who uses these works for inspiration.
Nevertheless this form of writing is very popular in the Demon Realm. Printing Houses are almost always busy, as Monster Girls young and old pick through these stories for the sense of adventure and romance. Not only that, but the Zipangu artform of creating books filled with both pictures and words has caught on like wildfire as well.
The Fellowship of Philosophy
An oft forgotten change that has occured within Monsters is their Morals. It is quite plainly obvious their new beauty, female forms, unending lust, and to a lesser extent their increased intellect. But thanks to the Demon Lord imposing her morals upon all Monsters, Monsters now have a moral compass. In the past they killed and pillaged without discretion. While on the surface Monsters are still vicious rapists and pillagers they were previously, Monster society is very kind and gentle.
As such many Mamano Scholars sought to make sense of the world and their place in it. After all, their existence today is only thanks to the efforts of the Demon Lord, not as intended by the Gods.
Philosophers amongst the Demon Realm go over many of the same topics as their counterparts in the Order. Love, Life, Sex, Death, the Gods, and so on. But considering how they approach these matters from a different perspective they have reached their own conclusions.
To Monsters, Love is the single most important thing to strive for. And to find a man to poor all of ones love into is the pinnacle of existence for Monsters. Love for one's friends and family also taking precedence in life. They exalt this to be above one's duties to the Gods. They are to be revered, but they believe any God who would desire to be more loved by you than you love those close to you is petty and jealous, and unworthy of your affection.
These are the cardinal virtues and the bedrock of Monster Philosophy. From there, many Monster, just like with Humans, come up with disagreements. As a whole for instance, Monsters reject the system set up by the Gods in which Monsters and the Gods-Worshipping Races must slaughter each-other endlessly. But surprisingly there are also Order Converts amongst the Mamano who believe that they should submit to the Gods so as to better submit to their Husbands.
But as a whole Mamano Philosophers try to justify their existence. Many Monsters are troubled by their origins as bloodthirsty marauders, and by the contempt and hatred Human society as a whole has for them. While in the Order, most people look to the Gods for answers to their doubts and fears, the Demon realms are much more secular, and Monsters instead turn to Philosophy instead to reach their conclusions. The most mainstream philosophers advocate for the current methods of rape and pillage as a means to bring about a brighter future where all can live in harmony, and undo the brainwashing the Order does to its adherents. But as stated, there are also those who advocate for other methods. Within Order dominated lands for instance, it is proposed that Monsters must submit to Humans as a superior race, and follow their ideas and beliefs. There are several conflicting views within Monster society, with different groups tending to one belief or the other, but as such they are no different than any other society. Mamano Philosphers continue their work looking for answers as to how Monsters should live their lives, and likely will for the foreseeable future.
The Zipangu Education Reform
The Shogun of Zipangu, seeking to bring his lands forward has proposed a massive education reform for the feudal lords under his demesne. While they have their own centers of learning, the Shogun has proposed a basic education system, the first of its kind, for almost all classes of people within Zipangu, Nobles, Peasants, Human, or Monster.
The education is to go from childhood to young adulthood, each student wearing a uniform to promote unity, and create an atmosphere for learning. Learning houses are to be set up in every province. Teachers brought from all around the country to teach the essentials in mathematics, writing, history and natural philosophy.
With this the Shogun hopes to uplift the next generation into an era of progress, moving the land forward through learning and innovation. The Nobles have bowed their head to this initiative, alongside the peasants and middle class. The Mamano are ecstatic at the idea, and have thrown their support behind it, as they view it as a wonderful opportunity for their daughters to find Husbands as students. Zipangu society as a whole looks fondly upon the reform, idealizing their youth spent in these classes. Trade schools, and other forms of education still exist throughout the islands, but most people's experience with schools are now with the state-mandated education.
