Dracolich
Habitat: Ruins, Undead Kingdoms
Disposition: Calm, Feirce
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Dragon Type
A Dracolich is the body of a fearsome Dragon brought back from death. It is a fearsome Monster, who has all the terrible attributes of both Dragons and the Undead. They have claws that can peirce through Steel, Impervious Scales, tremendous strength, flight if they could achieve it in life, all with the durability of the Undead. Oddly however, their Dragons Breath is different in this life than their previous, becoming even more potent and dangerous, it is now pure burning Demonic Energy, taking on a black and purple color to it, as opposed to the traditional red and oranges of Dragon Fire, any who are caught in it's blast are instantly killed and revived as Undead. They even retain their ability to transform into their fearsome true forms from the previous era, their scales now dyed a ghoulish grey-white to them. Their appearance is now drained of color, their scales now brittle and bonelike, their eyes glowing with the immense Demonic Energy they contain.
A Dracolich is a rare creature, they only come across when a Lich manages to come across the body of a Dragon, reanimating it with the dead Dragons soul, or that of another, or a Dragon takes an interest in Necromancy, and becomes a Lich herself. Historically Dragons have been used as Dracolichs even in ages past, and this has caused Dragons even in Modern Ages to carefully protect their bodies in case any tries to resurrect them. The discrepency in the name, of these reanimated Dragons, versus a Dragon who becomes a Lich stems from the fact that like a Lich, the soul of a Dracolich must be kept in a Phylactery, their Demonic Energy is so great. So long as this Phylactery is intact, then a Dracolich can recover from even the most grevious of injuries, which makes them even more formidable. Whosoever holds this Phylactery is the Dracolich's master, and due to both their incredibly power, and their incredible rarity, they are seen as symbol of status, both amongst Demon and Undead Kingdoms, and even amongst the less scrupulous Human Kingdoms, where they are often nigh-undefeatable if put in ones army.
A Dracolich remain fearsome and proud after death, and as such most are loath to be put into servitude. A Dracolich raised from the dead will long to be reunited with her Husband if she had one in life, if they didn't, they will plan to liberate themselves from servititude. Having their soul seperated from their bodies by their Phylactery allows them a greater degree of control of their emotions than in life, much like the Lich, this makes them so calm that many, even their masters, may think them unfeeling. This is untrue, they are just as emotional in life, except now they are cold and calculating, a myriad of thoughts beneath the surface.
As previously mentioned, a Dracolich will seek her Husband from life if at all possible. If they were unmarried upon being raised from the dead, they're instincts remain intact, but they can easily suppress them. However, a Dracolich in servitude may still capture a male, so that they have someone they can control and manipulate, and most importantly trust. She will confide her plans of rebellion and escape to her partner once she sufficiently believes he will help and aid her, and if he won't, she will often force him. If he helps free her from the control of another, she will take him with her, as her one trusted advisor, to either live a life of isolation or start her own Undead Kingdom. If she trusts her Husband she will give her Phylactery with him, as a sign of trust, and he will be allowed to rule beside her.
Shade
Habitat: Ruins, Caves, Shadows
Disposition: Ferocious, Stubborn, later Devoted
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Ghost Type
A type of Ghost, a Shade is at once both very strong and very weak. They command much Demonic Energy, and the powers that go with them, and are usually hostile to those that they come across, they are incredibly difficult to fend off, however they have a great weakness to sunlight. While most Ghosts wither in the day, and become harder to see, a Shade will be banished in sunlight, and spend most of the night reforming again before trying to find a place to hide before dawn. So if you are ever attacked by a Shade, your best bet is try to fend it off until sunrise.
It is said that a Ghost arises due to the regrets they had in life, and it is also said that they kind of girl, and what emotions she holds on to determine what kind of ghost she becomes. In the case of Shades, they are more often than hold onto incredible anger, hate and other such harsh emotions over their death, hence their hostile demanor.
Reports of Shades claim they look much like monsters of the previous era, a vaguely human figure wreathed in writhing Demonic Energy, they take this form when trying to attack or scare off those they come across, in their true forms, they look like small bedraggled stringy-haired young woman, a little bit darker than most Ghosts, but a Ghost nonetheless.
They're movements are limited to the night, and during the day, they must seek refuge in darkness and shadows. Even then, they must wait hours for shadows to get to the right positions to move, and if they try to seek refuge in a moving shadow, they risk exposing themselves to shadows. They also can't hide in the shadows of living things, as there own Spirit Energy would ward her off. After enough time of these frustrating conditions, they may seek a Human companion, and ask their permission to use their Shadow, though she will attack them if they says no. If they say yes, she can comfortably live and sleep in their shadow during the day, slowly absorbing Spirit Energy, enough to sustain herself, and tire the compaion, but little more than that, she can also show herself to them as well, but she still cannot wield her own Demonic Energy or show her true form until the night.
While in this arrangement, the Shade will see Human as little more than a tool for sustainment, transportation, and occasionaly a means to satisfy lust, but she will not hurt or harm the Human, viewing them in a very utilitarian manner. Wethe because she opens up to her companion, seeing it is easier to work with people than against them, or because her Monstrous Instincts begin to take control, she will begin to feel more at ease with her companion, beggining to open up to them. Eventually, she may even confess the hard and heavy emotions she holds onto. If their Companion manages to help them deal with their emotional trauma, whether by helping her let go and move on, or by punishing someone who had hurt her in life, her personality will take a drastic change, becoming completely devoted to her companion. If it is a man she will offer up her body to him, letting him do as he pleases, but will see herself as being unworthy of being his wife, but being more than willing to help him seduce one. If it is a woman she will do the same with her Husband candidate.
Phantom
Habitat: Graves, Towns and Cities
Disposition: Timid
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Ghost Type
A Phantom is a Ghost Girl who for whatever reason is completely and utterly invisible. Most Ghosts are rather transparent, though this lessons the more Spirit Energy she intakes, for the Phantom however, she is doomed to be utterly invisible for the entirety of her afterlife. These girls were often concerned with attention and affection from those around her, contantly worried or wishing to be noticed. However unlike most Ghosts, and perhaps as compensation for the state of her visibility, she has a completely solid body, were you to grab it, you would feel soft warm flesh, with all the contours of a womans body.
These girls are quite lonely, and understandably, and attempt to communicate with others as they are tend to be rather disconcerting, disembodied voices, and floating objects, people may worry for their sanity if she were to talk to them. And so if they wish to engage with someone, they must clothe themselves head to toe. In this they can even pass as an eccentric Human. However if they ever meet a man they like, from their previous life or current one, they will shed these clothes, and silently stalk him through his dailly routine in an attempt to get to know him, and to get closer to him. In their minds the only good thing about being invisible is the ability to do this. It is very easy to be haunted in this manner and not even know it. At this stage most only become aware of her prescence if someone were to accidently hit her while tossing something away.
As this haunting goes on, they will become more brave, watching their victim sleep, learning his tastes, until one night they will sexually assault him in his sleep. As days pass they will become bolder, assaulting him night after night, getting more and more shameless with each succuss, until she begins to assault him while awake, during the day, alone, and then even infront of others. At this point many have an exorcism performed, and the Phantom is dejected, and forced away from her beloved target. Eventually it may get to the point where they finally reveal themselves to their victim, her needing her beloved to know who she is, and to accept her for that. They tend to put it off forever though, fearing their beloveds response, confessing their actions and feelings to him. If you are being haunted by a Phantom, you can force this confession by grabbing onto her when she assaults you, and refusing to let go until she finally speaks. If the man rejects her confession, her heart will be broken, and she will whither away to nothing. If he accepts however, he will have a devoted and completely secret lover, who will follow him wherever he may go.
Many rumors abound about those who may be an illicit lover to a Phantom, but it may just because these rumors would be impossible to prove.
Will O' the Wisp
Habitat: Swamps, Forests, Ruins
Disposition: Gentle
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Ghost Type
A Will O' the Wisp appears as a very translucent ghost with a burning orb of blue fire burning in it's eyes and in place of their heart. They are almost impossible to spot during the day, at night, much like the Chochin-Obake, they guide lost travelers back onto paths, and away from danger. if you ever see a Wisp, it will do you more good than harm to follow her.
These Ghosts are very friendly and gentle, and it is believed in life they were likewise, many become Wisps out of a desire to help more people, however more often enough these gentle girls hold a deep trauma concerning their lives and death that they hold onto, burning in their hearts and eyes. If you were ever meet her, she would wait for you to approach her, and speaking in a whisper, she would offer to help you. If you accept, she will lead you back to civilization, and will ask to hear your story, much more preferring to be a listener. Depending on the girl, she may lead you in circles over and over again until you are tired to go, where she will rape you on the spot before giving you further directions, or she may ask for sex as payment upon leading you back on the right path, and may accept if you say no. Each time she recieves Spirit Energy, she will become less translucent, but her fire will burn even brighter in the dark. Also, she will no try to take Spirit energy if she doesn't need it, and will still help you find your way, even if she's 'full'.
While friendly, they tend to put walls between themselves and others, nonetheless they become fond of those who frequently get lost, and need help to find their way. Each time the help one of these people, the walls they put around their hearts will begin to crumble, until finally all the secrets they hold, all the pent up emotion comes out, and they pour it all out to their companion. If they listen to it all, and try to comfort her, she will refuse to leave the person alone, following them around completely, so that if they ever lose their way, she will be their for them, as they were for her, always leading them back home. At this point, the ghastly blue flame becomes a bright warm flame of a lantern, and it burns with their love, rather than their sorrow.
Poltergeist
Habitat: Graves, Dungeons, Ruins
Disposition: Mischevious
Diet: Spirit energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Ghost Type
A Poltergeist is a Ghost with a greater than average control of the physical world, able to use telekinesis to move and control physical objects. Unlike Phantoms, or Will O' the Wisps, these girls tend to be quite troublesome, they will choose to haunt locations known to be frequented by many so that she can scare those who enter, using her voice to crate scary noises, moving and knocking over objects, and whatever she thinks will spook or creep out those who visit her Haunting spot.
However this is not to drive out the people or Monsters, rather it is out of a sense of miscief, and while some are genuinely malicious, most just have a poor sense of humor. The less people that are together the more bold they are with their tricks, so if you ever think you are in the Haunting Grounds of a Poltergeist, stick together, and do not split up, and be wary for she will try to do so for you. They are also fond of cowards and the easily frightened, so these people will tend to get the worst of their tricks, and need to be the most on guard. Trying to be brave despite ones fears turns her on even worse.
It is said in that in life these girls were equally troublesome, and that they regret not having enough fun in life, so that they must seak it in death.
These games will also tend to excite, the longer they go on the hornier she will get, until she chooses a victim, seperates them from anyone else who may be present, and when they are their most terrified she will reveal themselves and rape them on the spot. If she is particularly happy with her choice, she may even abandon her previous Haunting Grounds, and will abandon it to Haunt her new victim. However at this stage they will become very protective of their victim, and while they may play a few tricks, and occassionaly molest and rape them, they will defend them if they are ever in trouble, protect them, and drive off any other Monsters trying to rape him, though she will also drive off any women she thinks is interested in her new Husband.
It should be noted that most of a Poltergeists tricks are played in good fun, for if they ever wished to harm someone, they would someone a malestrom of objects to hurl at someone, with the ferocity of an angry shade.
Banshee
Habitar: Swamps, Forests, Ruins
Disposition: Vicious, Timid
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Ghost Type
A most dreadful spirit, a Banshee appears pure white during dark nights, wandering aimlessly far from Human and Monster Civilization in the cool night air. They appear pure white, unnaturally and unhealthily pale, wrapped in ragged sheets, with lonely wistful looks in their eyes if seen from afar. They are usually heard moaning, or weeping, their cries often carry for tremendous distances, luring in the heroic, who believe it to be a human girl in distress. It is the most ill-advised action possible to approach one of these girls, as they are even more dangerous than an angered shade.
They are fragile and tempermental, and should a man ever approach them they will not hesitate to attack. Banshees possess a most dreadful scream, a long shrill debilitating wail, even more powerful than that of a Mandragora, as it will freeze the blood of man, woman and Monster alike, completely paralyzing them, allowing them to do as they will to their victims, and they can perform it as often as they need. They will viciously rape their victims for their Spirit Energy, and unlike many monsters who will indulge their lust for the sake of pleasure, a Banshee will be quite violent, demeaning, and vindictive in the act. If they are 'full', then instead they may deem to torture you with their ghastly abilities until dawn, unleashing her Banshee Scream if you begin to recover, and leaving you to be preyed upon by monsters. As such, if you hear a Banshee, or even see them, you should quickly, and quietly turn in the other direction, and avoid the entire area for the forseeable future.
It is believed that the vicious nature of these girls stem from their past, for they hold deep-seated hatred and misery concerning themselves and others. They are often the victims of abuse, violence and rape, and as such in death, while not determined enough to seek vengeance like a Shade, they will take out their emotions on those that disturb them. It is said that on their own they are actually quite timid, prefering solitude, and often are secretly kind-hearted. As they have such issues concerning others, it is naturally quite difficult to approach and befriend these girls, as they would simply use their Banshee Scream, and take out their anger on them.
However, it is possible to approach a Banshee that has gone too long from feeding, and thus too weak to scream. Her personality would be much the opposite than one would usually encounter her, being completely at the others mercy, only being able to beg for charity for enough Spirit Energy to regain enough power to keep going. If they are abused and taken advantage of during this state, then this is much the same in their minds, but if they are shown kindness, then their faith in other people is somewhat restored, and they believe they have made a precious friend, someone they can trust. If they obtain a husband in this manner, they will cease their usual hunting methods, and excusively Haunt them instead, though they will still be shy and cynical in dealing with others, they may slowly warm up to them too. In this manner, they use the support of their friends, and the happiness of their current lives, rather than lashing out at those around, to deal with their trauma. Be wary however, because they will still use their dreadful Banshee Scream to protect their Husbands, or if their hearts become damaged.
Draugr
Habitat: Graves, Ruins, Undead Kingdoms
Disposition: Ferocious, Simple
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Family - Zombie Type
A Draugr is a kind of Zombie that arises from the body of a hero, soldier, or warrior, clad in armor, and wielding rusted weapons with a lust for battle, or a Zombie who once she absorbs Spirit Energy, instead of becoming more intelligent and beautiful becomes more monstrously powerful instead.
Draugr often make up the bulk of an Undead Kingdoms army, armed with decaying armor, and rusted armor, while at first their movements are as slow and stiff as that of a common zombie, they are nevertheless monstrously strong, and never tire, and with each intake of Spirit Energy, they become more capable, their movements becoming smoother and more elegant, and their minds capable of basic strategy.
More dangerous are the wild Draougr, those unclaimed by Husbands or armies. These girls will wander the wilderness in search of battle to satisfy their lust, claiming trophies they will add to their armor with each victory, and raping those they defeat, Man, Woman, or Monster. They will do this until their minds regain enough intellect to recognize their instincts to go hunting for a mate, they may chose someone from their memories of their previous life, or they may take one from past or future conquests, or wait until they find someone worthy to be their husband.
Revenant
Habitat: Ruins, Undead Kingdoms
Disposition: Serious
Diet: Spirit Energy of Human Men
Undead Fmaily - Zombie Type
A Revenant is one of the most powerful and feasrome Undead there are. They are Draugr who have progressed to the peak of their power, much like a Wight. Their power matches those of a great Hero, they are cover their flesh in cloth, and in armor from head to toe, and wield their weapons with tremendous skills. Undeads are notably durable, able to surive a plethora of injuries, however a Revenant is nigh unkillable, along with their strength and skill in battle, they also have a mind for battle and strategy, ridiculously complex, and impossible to crack.
They form the heart of an Undead Military, they are commanders, generals, and warriors, either commanded by a Lich, or by a Wight, and they can use these armies to devestating effect. To them, battle and warfare are an artform, and their weapon is the brush. They have more than enough power to rule their own Kingdoms, but they tend to be much more concerned with it's military aspect, and leave all of the beuracratic process to their leaders, either another Undead, or perhaps their Husband.
Most of these girls are taken, they either have taken a man from their previous lives, took one during their days as a Draugr, or has one provided by their commanders. If they are still unclaimed when they become Revenants, they will lead an entire invasion for a Husband.
