A/N Since KC stated that if human males not from the MGE world were to be isekai`ed into the MGE world, they would immediately start producing spirit energy, and in this story not only is Cedric a pure-blood wizard, he is also a hero of the Order so he would produce twice as much SE as a normal human male. Holy water can prevent humans from turning into incubi and succubi only if the drink at least 3 vials of holy water and were still in the process of being incubised or succubised. Also one can prevent corruption via Demonic Energy if they drink a vial of holy water every 10 minutes. Holy water cannot help humans who have become fully monsterised as it will simply kill them if ingested. I`m not certain if the info of holy water is canon to the main series, but for convinience sake it is for this story.
It was now morning in Lescatie and Sasha exited her bedroom to wake up Cedric and Aldana.
Cedric yawned as he woke up. One of the orphans looked at Cedric and blinked a few times in rapid succession.
"CEDRIC`S HERE!" The boy shouted in joy as he ran out of his bed to hug Cedric.
"Yeah it`s me, how did you sleep?" Cedric asked the boy whilst rubbing his head.
"Alright, why are you sleeping here though? Don`t you have a cottage in the Upper District?" the boy asked.
"The King kicked me out of the cottage unfortunately because I failed a mission." Cedric said solemnly.
"What? That`s not fair!" the boy protested.
"I know it is. But to be honest fancy cottage or not, it won`t stop me from being a hero and protecting all of you." Cedric reassured.
"Don`t worry about, when you`re done with breakfast we are going to King`s Castle to convince him to overturn your eviction." Sasha said.
"Really? Thanks Sasha." Cedric said thankfully.
Timeskip: Lescatie Royal Palace
The trio of Cedric, Sasha and Aldana had arrived in the front gates of the Royal Palace. The guards quickly opened them per Aldana`s request. When they arrived inside the throne Cedric noticed that the place looked more like an impromptu court house than a throne room. And sitting in the "stands" were multiple priests who wore an angered expression on their faces.
"Your majesty, I Sasha Fullmoon strongly object to your eviction of Sir Cedric. The punishment you have given him for failing his mission was far too harsh." Sasha objected.
"Your majesty, Sir Cedric was blessed by the Chief Goddess herself, so unless you want to face her wrath for mistreating a hero blessed by her I strongly advise you reinstate Cedric`s hero status and give him back his cottage." Aldana asserted.
The King`s eyes shot wide in fear for a split second. Stroking his beard he asked one of the jury members, the Head of the Noscrim family what his thoughts were on the situation.
"Your majesty, I agree with Miss Sasha and Aldana. Your punishment for Cedric`s failure was indeed excessive. A punishment on that scale is only reserved for apostates, and Cedric has been nothing but loyal to the Order. Your choice of punishment has proven to be deeply unpopular amongst the nobles and heroes of Lescatie, myself included." the Head of the Noscrim family stated.
With all of his options exhausted, the King spoke.
"I King Castor, by popular demand will hereby reinstate the Hero status and belongings of Sir Cedric Diggory. I personally apologise for my non regal behaviour last night. As compensation I shall allocate 20,000 pieces of gold to Sir Cedric. I hope all of you in this room, espcially Sir Cedric may forgive me for any harm and emotional distress I may have caused." the King declared, offering a handshake to Cedric.
"I accept your apology and monetary compensation your majesty. I too apologise for my immature behaviour last night." Cedric apologised as he shook the King`s hand.
The case ended in Cedric`s favour as he was now free to return to his cottage along his belongings.
"Thank you, both of you, for standing by my side." Cedric said gratefully.
"Least we could do Cedric, after all you`ve only been here for 72 hours and yet you are already one of Lescatie`s most beloved heroes." Sasha said truthfully.
The trio arrived back the orphanage, with Cedric leading the way. When they arrived back the orphans were playing outside and Elt was having a conversation with a silver haired girl donning the armour of the order.
"The 20,000 gold coins the King gave me, I want to donate three quarters of it to the orphanage" Cedric announced, surprising Sasha.
"You don`t have to Cedric, it`s yours and besides the Orphanage has enough funds." Sasha said, Cedric however was not entirely convinced.
"The orphans and yourself deserve it more than I do. I don`t need so much money when the children here look as if they haven`t had a proper meal in days." Cedric stated.
"Ok Cedric, you win. Thank you for the money. The orphans and I truly appreciate your generosity." Sasha said smiling.
"No problem, these kids deserve a better life than this." Cedric said saddened.
After Aldana assisted Cedric in collecting his belongings, they headed back to the cottage.
"Hey Aldana when we are done bringing my stuff back we must head to the market." Cedric announced.
"The market? Alright we shall make our way there then." Aldana spoke.
The duo arrived at the cottage, and once done with the unpacking made their way towards the market. For reasons unbeknownst to Aldana Cedric took his now empty trunk with them.
"Cedric why did you bring your trunk with? Surely don`t need that much groceries." Aldana asked bewildered.
"You`re right most of it isn`t for me, it`s for the poor families here who are barely getting by." Cedric said.
"Is that so? Now I truly understand why the Chief Goddess chose you as a hero. You truly have a heart of gold." Aldana said proudly.
30 minutes later and Cedric`s trunk was already full to the brim. To make it easier to carry he used a feather light charm.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
The old wooden door of the hovel was opened by a frail looking woman, her beauty diminished by malnutrition.
"Sir Cedric? To what do I owe the honour of your audience?" She asked suprised.
"Here, I hope this helps you and your family not go hungry tonight." Cedric said as he unlocked the trunk and handed the woman 2 loaves of bread, some meat and vegetables.
"Thank you so much Sir Cedric!" the woman exclaimed in amazement and happiness.
Cedric spent the rest of the afternoon handing out food to Lescatie`s less fortunate. Cheers of praise being directed his way to every house he went. When dusk arrived Cedric headed home, making sure that even though he handed out the majority of the day`s groceries to the poor, he still had enough food for him and Aldana.
Tired and relieved that he got his cottage and hero status back Cedric sat at his now familiar desk to begin writing today`s entry.
Wednesday 28 June 1995
Today went a lot better than yesterday, I was summoned to court over my wrongful punishment and dismissal as a hero and won the case. The King awarded me 20,000 Gold Coins as compensation, instead I donated 15,000 Gold Coins to Sasha`s orphanage as I feel they need it more than I do. I spent another 10,000 Gold Coins purchasing groceries of all of the civilians living in Lescatie`s poorer parts. I had to due multiple trips to the market but I do not mind however as nothing makes me happier than helping the less fortunate.
Satisfied with his entry Cedric spotted Aldana laying in his bed, puzzled at this but to tired to protest Cedric snuggled next to her.
Meanwhile a few rooftops away from Cedric`s cottage.
A kunoichi with long dark blue was watching Cedric sleeping, watching him longily.
"Sleep well my beloved, soon enough we shall consumate our marriage." And with a gush of wind, the kunoichi was gone.
